In September 2022, NewPath acquired a brand new property containing community-based apartments for youth enrolled in our Independent Living Services (ILS). This building will provide safe and accessible living spaces for young adults as they transition to independence from foster care. A ribbon cutting will take place in Spring 2023 to celebrate and welcome its first residents.

The building includes:

• 24 one-bedroom units

• On-site Resident Manager

• Life Coaches

• Case Managers

Not only will this provide higher-quality care for the young adults in ILS, NewPath will also benefit from significant cost savings as we shift from renting to ownership. This new building is more conveniently located to provide full accessibility for youth residents to obtain jobs, access public transportation, use the grocery store, and more.

This project was made possible by the generous contributions of:

• Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services: $750,000

• Farmer Family Foundation: $50,000

• Sutphin Family Foundation: $30,000

Finding the Inner Strength to Succeed

Jason entered NewPath’s My First Place program over a year ago due to emotional and relationship issues resulting in a lack of motivation to work or attend school. NewPath’s Education and Employment Specialists partnered with his support system to help him overcome these barriers by finding the mental drive he needed to graduate high school. Jason has continued to work with the same employer as he pursues post-secondary education.
