Kate Brereton wins 2022 WANMEA award

We are very excited to announce that St John of God Murdoch Hospital Specialist Nurse Kate Brereton, took out the Consumer Appreciation Award at the 2022 WA Nursing & Midwifery Excellence Awards earlier this month!

The Consumer Appreciation Award is the opportunity for a patient, client or support person to recognise the nurse or midwife who cared for them and made a difference in their care. We are not at all surprised that Kate was nominated for this award and beyond proud that she won in her category.

Director of Nursing SarahJayne Powell said, "To say I am proud of Kate and the care she provides to our patients every single day does not even begin to touch on how awesome she is. Stomal Therapy services at Murdoch flourish due to Kate's dedication and passion."
