International Day of the Midwife and International Nurses Day!

On 5 May and 12 May, the Hospital celebrated International Day of the Midwife when we took the opportunity to recognise and thank the incredible support, dedication, and expertise of our midwives and nursing caregivers, and celebrate the important care they provide for our patients and their families every day. This year, our midwives and nurses were encouraged to make or buy red capes and nurse’s caps to wear on the day to show their inner superheroes!

As a token of our appreciation, our midwives and nurses received a reusable bag with a beautiful message from our Director of Nursing and Patient Experience, Sarah-Jayne Powell.
