1987. I småstaden Luton i England kämpar Javed, en tonåring med pakistanskt ursprung, för att passa in. Bossens låtar inspirerar Javed till att hitta sin egen väg i livet. 1987. In the small-town Luton in England, Javed, a Pakistani teenager, struggles to fit in. Writing poems in order to deal with his feelings. Synth pop is the musical preference for most teens but when Javed gets a couple of Bruce Springsteen-tapes from a friend at school, everything changes.
