Keeping In Touch 13 May 2022
Welcome to another super fun edition of KIT. This week we celebrated International Nurses Day following International Day of the Midwife last week.
Upcoming Events: Bowel Cancer Awareness Month May
International Volunteer Week Monday 16 - Sunday 22 May
During our travels to the wards visiting and delivering mega cupcakes to caregivers I heard many comments from caregivers about how nice it was to celebrate and acknowledge International Nurses Day.
National Reconciliation Week
International Nurses Day and International Day of the Midwife is celebrated around the world to recognise the remarkable contributions nurses and midwives make every day. I am in awe of what you do - you turn up to work despite the challenges, you speak up for our patients and support them through their hospital experience and you make a difference to the delivery of quality care and patient outcomes. For this and so much more, thank you!
NAIDOC Week
We had 28 new caregivers attend orientation this week covering a diverse number of roles and departments across the hospital. Have a lovely weekend!
Friday 27 May - Friday 3 June
National Blood Donor Week Monday 13 - Sunday 19 June
Men’s Health Week
