Keeping In Touch 27 May 2022
Welcome to another edition of Keeping in Touch. It’s hard to believe we are moving into the start of another month next week. The pandemic now coupled with the flu continues to plague us all at home and at work and we acknowledge that from time to time this has meant staffing has been a challenge with high levels of sick leave. I would like to extend my heart felt gratitude to all caregivers for your resilience and for wonderful care and support you provide to each other and our patients. Six members of our National Board visited our hospital on Wednesday and they were very affirming of your collective dedication and hard work during these challenging times. They had the opportunity to meet with a small group of caregivers for morning tea and expressed this gratitude to them in person. While they were here we were able to showcase our recently redeveloped CSSD which they were most impressed with, take them to the shelled space on level 3 that we will be fitting out in the next couple of months and provide them with some insight into some of the challenges we have faced since they last visited. A quick reminder that our Respiratory Protection Program is ongoing and available to all caregivers. Alex who is now our hospital fit tester is on site for the next 5 weeks so please take the opportunity to book in for your annual fit test if due. Wishing you a lovely weekend.
