FUN TENNIS “RULING” FACTS
1. A perishing player wipes his sweaty forehead with a tennis ball - is this a violation? Yes, it materially changes the ball.
2 Your opponents visor or hat touches the net when she lunges for a ball - what is the ruling on this? You receive the point because no part of the body, equipment, or apparel can touch the net
3 Your opponent goes wide and hits the ball around the net - is the ball still in play? Absolutely, now hit it back!
4 A player can’t whiff the ball when serving. A server can’t unsuccessfully attempt to hit the ball when serving If the server swings and misses the ball, it is a fault
5 A player can hit twice during a swing as long as it’s unintentional. A player is only allowed to swing at the ball once, but it’s legal for a player to unintentionally hit the ball twice with his/her racket during the swing motion.

NEWS AND EVENTS
San Jose family, by now I am sure all of you have heard of the news about the fitness center remodel that will begin this month. We kindly ask for your understanding and flexibility during this renovation phase. I know there will be many questions and concerns throughout this process The enhancements are aimed at creating a more inspiring and functional space for all our members We believe that the result will exceed your expectations, and we can’t wait for you to experience it.
We understand the importance of consistency in your fitness routine. Rest assured that during the remodel, there will be no changes to our operating hours, nursery usage, or the schedule of your favorite group fitness classes. Your fitness journey will continue uninterrupted.
During this time, some equipment will be temporarily relocated to accommodate the renovation process The St Johns room will be converted into a mini gym which will include two treadmills, two ellipticals, Peloton, one recumbent bike, one adjustable cable crossover, two flat benches, various weights in dumbbells, and one massage table. The room will also have a variety of our smaller equipment such as medicine balls, resistance bands, and foam rollers. The entire pool area will also be accessible for all of you to use as fitness space. The turf area, covered snack bar patio, and the covered area by the diving blocks will be used for all the group classes. We will do our best to minimize any inconveniences and will clearly announce temporary changes in equipment and class locations.
We will keep you updated throughout this entire renovation process so please be sure to follow us on our social media and regularly check your emails regarding updates
At San Jose, your wellness is one of our top priorities. The remodel of our Fitness Center represents our dedication to providing you with the best possible experience. We appreciate your continued support and look forward to sharing this new space with you.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to myself or Stephen. We are here to assist you in any way we can
