Dear Members,
From our annual meeting and strategic planning conversations and all the happenings in between, February was a productive month.
After receiving feedback from members from an anonymous online survey, focus groups and one on one discussions (and even the annual meeting), our strategic planning for the club has begun, and we appreciate your involvement as we look to shape its long-term growth.
The Board held a two-day summit where we discussed findings, presented by our third-party consultant Many consistent themes resonated throughout the findings Outcomes and next steps will be shared with you by early Summer after we finalize plans for the combined future vision of San Jose Country Club
As we plan for the future of our Club, we ’ re also confronted with the challenge of attracting new members and maintaining a positive revenue stream to combat normal attrition and higher operating costs With that in mind, the Board and Membership Committee unanimously approved a new Executive Membership pilot category with potential to generate $3 4 million for the Club over a threeyear period Complete details about this category will be emailed to you later this month What’s important to know now is that candidates are required to be screened through our existing acceptance process, incur higher monthly dues and privileges are reduced
Improvements to our golf course and the playing experience continue, with short and long-term plans ongoing However, renovation of the Tennis and Fitness center is temporarily delayed We encountered unforeseen structural modifications and water intrusion issues that must be addressed before moving forward. Once we know more, we will further communicate to everyone on the progress.
Below is our Dashboard for our financial results, activity, and membership for January. We will be posting this every month so that you can follow along with us throughout the year.
Thank you and see you at the Club!
On behalf of San Jose Country Club, our thoughts and prayers go out to these families during this difficult time

Dear San Jose Members,
As we approach Spring I am excited to let you know we have new and exciting menu items for lunch and dinner. I have heard from many of you requesting more and frequent changes to our dining programs.
You spoke, we have listened We are going to be keeping the core menu items on the menu, while trying to change some of the featured dishes that will rotate about every 6 weeks.
The culinary team is excited about providing you new and fresh flavors to keep things new and fresh In addition, if you our a member of your family have dietary restrictions, let us know in your reservation, or simply ask your server if there are any other options available.
In many cases, the team can construct a dish to meet your expectations! We look forward to seeing you in the Donald Ross dining room!
Bon Appétit!
Sincerely,
Chef Michael AyresMarch 1-2

Dear San Jose Members,
The construction on the Tennis and Fitness Center has been moving along smoothly since beginning in January. However, we have encountered unforeseen structural modifications and water intrusion issues that must be addressed before moving forward
These matters were uncovered because of the planned interior demolition and could not have been identified in advance. While speed and precision are a priority, we are diligently working to resolve the delay to ensure a practical and lasting resolution At this time, the impact (if any) on the total estimated completion cost and timeline have not been determined. Once we know more, we will further communicate to everyone on the progress.
This renovation project is important because upgraded facilities are a key component that directly contributes to our ability to retain and attract members. This is about sustainability as much as it is about enjoyment, and it is imperative that we do it the right way.
We appreciate your patience and understanding, and rest assured, our goal is to reopen the Tennis and Fitness Center as soon as possible.

Ice Cream Cones
Oreos - Crushed
Large Marshmallows
Pink Edible Marker
Mini Milano Cookies
Whipped Cream
INSTRUCTIONS
Scoop vanilla ice cream into a flat-bottomed cake cone to come just past the rim.
Press the top of the ice cream into crushed chocolate cookies. Secure the cone in a 3-ounce paper cup and freeze until firm, about 15 minutes. Place another scoop of ice cream on top of the crushed cookies. Snip a marshmallow in half crosswise and stretch to make an oval paw shape.
Draw bunny paw pads on the smooth sides of the marshmallow pieces with a pink edible marker and stick to the ice cream.
Pipe or top with a quarter-sized dollop of sweetened whipped cream between the feet for a bunny tail. Push 2 small oval shaped sandwich cookies (such as Mini Milanos) into the top of the ice cream scoop for bunny ears.
