Color the Power of Love

It may be a uniquely human quality, our delight in scaring ourselves silly, as well as our craving for caring and comfort, and our belief that we will be okay, that there is hope for us, even if the immediate future seems bleak. Love is the fuel for that— love of our significant other, our children, siblings, parents, friends, pets. And that is inspiration for the artwork in my coloring book Love & Dystopia.

This books springs from my love of romance, horror, and dark fantasy, translated through my own creative lens, which is deeply inspired by manga, steampunk, goth, and other design aesthetics. About the Artist

ANZU is a manga-style artist based in Indonesia, whose work includes graphic novels and comics like X-Men: Misfits, as well as coloring books. She wrote and illustrated the webtoon She Wants You, and has contributed art to the Master Guide to Drawing Anime series by Christopher Hart. Her art blends manga influences with a love for fashion and diverse styles. When she’s not sketching, you’ll find her sipping coffee with her cats, always inspired by the world around her.

LOVE SAVES THE DAY!

Love & Dystopia is a celebration of the power of love, even when the end of the world might be at hand. In these times of uncertainty, there is no better way to color yourself calm than with the upbeat, engaging, and incredibly creative artwork of manga artist ANZU. Her collection of 46 original coloring designs shows love in all its forms—romantic, love of friends, love of family—between humans, humanoids, and pets, animals, and robots. Alien invasion, asteroid, giant twister, a rip in the space-time continuum, or starting anew in a post-apocalyptic world, whatever the threat or challenge, love and hope conquer all.
