Introduction
I created this book out of my love for everything around me—the beauty of nature, the comforts of home, the family and friends who make my life full and joyful. I hope to share my happiness with you through my art and through words of gratitude that I have found to be personally inspiring.
I am a big believer in coloring as a creative form of self-care. Find a quiet and comfortable spot. Listen to music or breathe in the scent of a candle as you color. I like to listen to audiobooks. My sister enjoys a glass of wine as she colors. My 93-year-old mother loves to color with her grandchildren. We all liked to color when we were growing up, so why not go back to those carefree times, no matter our age?
There is no right or wrong way to color, and no need for artistic training. Choose whatever colors or supplies you like. Experiment with simple techniques if you choose, like shading and highlighting, or adding your own patterning.

About the Artist
Jane Maday is an artist, illustrator, and popular Instagrammer. She began her career at age 14 as a scientific illustrator for the University of Florida, graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design, and was recruited by Hallmark Cards. She has two children, a menagerie of animals, a garden for inspiration, and a husband to share it all.
