The girl travels through Dreamland to the princess’s castle to return the Heart Star. She sets it next to the princess as she lay sleeping.
Suddenly, the Heart Star shimmers brilliantly and the princess slowly opens her eyes. They stare at each other in surprise—they are mirror images of one another!
With dawn approaching, the girl knows that she must return to her world!

Message Cards
on her adventure, full of beautiful gardens and the flower ladies of the court, the Astronomer’s observatory, and the princess in her castle. In addition to the original black-and-white coloring designs, there are four pages of artworks colored by the artist for inspiration, as well as a page of designs to color in and cut out for use as message cards.
Yoshimi Sekiguchi creates her artwork in an Old European style that evokes folkloric and fairy tales, using nib pens, watercolors, and digital media. She lives in Japan.
