Tuition and fees are based on 2025-2026 rates and an estimated enrollment of 25 credits per year for undergraduate international students and 18 credits per year for graduate international students.
Geographic Enhancement Opportunity (GEO) Award
Special tuition rate for all academically eligible new students. Undergraduates save over $10,600 annually. Graduates save almost $9,000 annually. Savings vary based on the number of credits taken.
GEO+ Undergraduate Award
In-state tuition is available to undergraduate students after the first year (24 credit hours). GEO+ awardees save on average more than $14,000 per year.
Meridian Undergraduate Scholarship
Highly competitive; full tuition, fees, room, and board. Separate application required. Apply by December 1.

Competitive Graduate Award
Tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Apply by December 1 to ensure eligibility.
Graduate Scholar Award Tuition waiver. Apply by March 1.
Graduate Assistantships
Tuition waiver and monthly stipend. Students work up to 20 hours per week in an academic, service, or research unit. Separate application required.
On-campus Employment
Students can apply for on-campus jobs and work up to 20 hours per week.
SIUE offers an Intensive English Pathway (IEP) program that allows students to study English for one, two or three semesters while beginning their degree coursework. The pathway is an affordable way to improve English skills, meet new friends and learn about American culture. Successful completion fulfills the English requirement without additional standardized tests.
