UNIFORM CODE RULES FOR YEARS 7 – 11

As part of the Uniform Code, please note the following rules apply to Year 7 – 11 students:

• We recommend that long hair is tied back for year 7. Hair bands should be navy blue or black. Hair should be a natural colour only. Hair cannot be any shorter than a number 4 cut.

• No jewellery may be worn in school with the exception of: wrist-watches, plain ear-lobe studs, one discrete necklace with a pendant of special (e.g. Religious) significance

• No tattoos, stretchers, cartilage, nose or body-piercings

• No make-up or coloured nail-varnish, acrylics or gels are to be worn at school

• No hoodies

DRESS CODE FOR SIXTH FORM STUDENTS

The dress code for Sixth Form students is smart casual, or business dress on formal occasions and at key school events such as Open events. Hair should be a natural colour only.

The following items are not permitted:

• Crop tops, strappy tops or tops with plunging necklines

• Miniskirts or dresses, ripped jeans, short skirts, shorts

• Transparent items of clothing

• Tattoos, stretchers, cartilage, or body-piercings (including nose piercings).

Students who are not in line with our uniform and dress codes may be sent home to correct any identified problems

Blazers are to be worn by Years 7-11 at all times outside of lessons. Wearing a jumper under a blazer is optional.

Skirt should be of a reasonable length i.e.: kneelength.

Skirts should not be rolled up.

Only trousers purchased from Uniform Supplier may be worn, no alternatives acceptable.

To be worn tucked in to skirt.

For hygiene reasons all students are required to have their own set of personal headphones with a 6.35mm adaptor for composition and computer work in music lessons.

To support students’ learning, they are required to be equipped with an Apple iPad, Keyboard, and Stylus inline with the school’s eLearning programme.

An electronic calculator is essential for use in Mathematics and Science.

Uniform & Sports Kit Fittings

Uniform and Sports Kit fittings at AlleyCatz can be arranged via their user friendly online booking service alleycatz.co.uk/pg/13/booking which allows you to reserve an hour’s slot for your child’s uniform fitting at a convenient time.

Key features of this service are:

• Choice of date and time (AlleyCatz recommend booking well in advance)

• Easy to use system – answer 3 simple questions to enable AlleyCatz to prepare for your appointment in advance

• Email booking confirmation

• Reminder email 48 hours before your appointment

Click & Collect: Free Click & Collect from AlleyCatz Hersham. You will be notified by email or phone when your order is ready for collection.

Shipping: Shipped via Courier (or Royal Mail if your order value is under £10). You will be offered a one hour delivery slot, which you can amend, and you will be notified by text or email. Please note that Courier is based on the date that your order is completed as opposed to the date it is placed –please allow upto 21 days for personalisation.

Free School Delivery (term-time only): items can be delivered directly to Sir William Perkins’s School. Deliveries take place once a fortnight on Wednesdays during term time only. Items will be available to collect from School Reception.

Pleasenote: ‘in-stock’, non-personalised items are normally sent within 72 hours. AlleyCatz will endeavour to deliver all personalised goods within 21 days of confirmation of order, and will do their utmost to deliver earlier.

Returns

Parents/Guardians should refer to the returns policy on the AlleyCatz website, for information on howto return items. Returns cannot be made via School.
