Welcome to Sir John Deane’s Sixth Form College’s exciting programme of concerts and performances for 2022/23.
It was with immense joy and excitement that we welcomed audiences back into College last year, as we reinstated live concerts in our calendar and were reminded of the important role that music and performance play in the life and spirit of Sir John Deane’s.
This year, November’s Musical Soirée and the Spirit of Christmas Concerts promise to deliver the highest calibre of musical performance, with gifted soloists and chamber groups alongside our larger ensembles providing two ‘must see’ events for music lovers.
February sees the much-anticipated return of the College musical. Following the stellar success of 2019’s production of ‘Return to the Forbidden Planet’, this year we are inviting you to step “downtown” to Skid Row for our rendition of the cult classic ‘Little Shop of Horrors’.
And finally, we welcome bands from local high schools to compete against our students in the 9th annual ‘Battle of the Bands’. With former contestants now making waves in the music industry, don’t miss your chance to spot the next big thing!
We really do look forward to welcoming you to Sir John Deane’s to share in the incredible talents of all our performers.
Tickets for all the events advertised in this brochure are available on Eventbrite, via the College website.
