Djenné Fila graduated cum laude from AKV | St. Joost in Breda and won the Boekieboekie StArt Award public prize. She previously illustrated The Firebird for Volt publishers.

Thysa Zevenbergen was born in The Netherlands but grew up in the United States and France. She debuted in 2019 with Little Fox looks for Everything & Nothing, which features her signature papercuts.

Ru de Groen is a novelist, who from 2004 to 2008, translated several children’s books. In 2019, he began writing for the Little Fox series.

Olaf Koens is a writer and journalist. He lives in Istanbul and travels across the Middle East as a correspondent. Aydin is his first children’s book.

Renee Rienties works as a cartoonist and illustrator. In 2015, she graduated from the CIBAP and made her start in the world of comics and illustrations. Her inspirations include American comics and Japanese manga.

ELIN Milouska Meulens and Sioejeng Tsao

A magical debut by Milouska Meulens

On an ordinary, boring Saturday, the doorbell rings at eleven-year-old Elin Salvador’s house. From that moment on, everything she loves is lost: her father leaves and her mother starts going mad. She even loses her bedroom. She’s never had any friends. Alone with her grief, she tries to bravely endure all the changes. Milouska Meulens was born in Curaçao, but dreams in Dutch. As a teenager, she sent stories to magazines and decided to become a journalist. She worked at Zembla, was The Mole, and until 2019 was a presenter on the NOS Kid’s News, Kids for Kids and Early Birds. Elin is her writing debut.

Sioejeng Tsao is an illustrator, activist and feminist. With her paintings and illustrations, she addresses issues such as racism, unequal treatment of the LGBTQIA+ community and climate change. She’s also illustrated for de Volkskrant, Het Parool, HIVOS and others.
