It's the people who have shaped us, and I would like to say, it's their victory. You are known for performing diverse roles, both in Art and Commercial films. How do you strike a balance? Tell us a little about your upcoming movie. After playing Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, you mentioned learning so much about him that you've penned a book. Can you share more about this? Yes, that’s true, I learnt a lot about him while playing the role, that I have penned a book. As soon as I read the script, it was so well written, that I decided to take it up immediately. If a script is well written, half the job of the actor is done. We just have to put our life into the character and that is something I always do with all my characters. many years in the glitz and glamour industry, it would be encouraging to get paid according to the work put in. Receiving remuneration in line with the effort is good for boosting morale. Any plans to venture into film production, especially on OTT platforms? I’m not a full-fledged producer. I have been part of the production team because they needed my support. Tomorrow if I need to attach my name to a film I will do so to support the film. You are an actor with so much acclaim, you won many national awards, do actors get intimidated to work with you? I don’t want anyone to feel nervous while working with me. I think I'm a very easy person to work with. I try to help and support every person who works with me. That is how we can create magic on the screen. I also take their advice when they see my performance. I try to collaborate with actors new or old. That's how we all can do wonders with every film. What can we expect from your upcoming projects? We'll start shooting the next part of The Family Man in February 2024. Jorum releases on December 8th in theatres, and in the next month, the series ‘Killer Soup’ will premiere.

How has your journey in the entertainment industry been so far, and what drew you to acting? Well, it’s been a roller coaster ride, it’s taught me a lot and made me a better person. I feel the best thing about acting is that you get to meet 200 new people on the film set, you get to interact with them and learn from their lives. I was drawn towards acting because I am inherently an introvert and for me acting is therapeutic. It lets me bring out everything I have stored within me, so for me, it’s a form of expression and I can’t imagine doing anything else. You have had a very unconventional journey, while your movies did ok, you were brought into the limelight with your projects on OTT...Did you ever think of quitting in between? No, never. I love acting and can’t imagine doing anything else. I don’t look at it like that. I feel if my debut film was not Mirzya maybe people would have not even known me. I’m very grateful for every project that I have gotten, be it a Hindi film, Telugu film, Marathi film, a theatrical film or an OTT release. How do you prepare for your roles, and has your process evolved with the changing dynamics of the industry? I tailor my preparations based on the requirements of the role. For example, for my character Sita in 'Choked,' which is Anurag's film, the physical aspect was crucial. What inspired your portrayal of the role in Sanaa? We have a lot of people in our lives who inspire us for a particular role. There could be some very close acquaintances that are like Sanaa. I healed my relationships with many people through this film. I couldn’t understand those people at that time, as I felt they were wrong. They were entitled, but I started to understand them more and also find commonalities between them and myself. We need to see beyond their actual personality. That's how I healed my life when things were difficult. You have done so many diverse roles, how do you select your scripts? Upon finishing a film, I always find myself pondering, what's next? How do you express characters even when feeling low or in pain? The cure for pain is feeling the pain deep down yourself. If you are feeling ‘low,’ feel it. Whenever pain and a low feeling seep in, don’t try to avoid it. When you allow nature to express it, you don’t feel that pain. Can you share any details about your forthcoming projects? I cannot reveal anything about my forthcoming projects. I have indeed signed a few projects, but I have signed a DA, so I will talk later in the next meeting. Do you feel any pressure while signing a project/film? No, I just sign with my gut feelings. Also, I get a calling from high above— from the almighty God.
How do you approach a character, considering the baggage you carry into the industry? I never thought about anything before beginning my career, which helped me go further professionally. I knew I was coming into the profession with loads of baggage. If I was thinking, I would have been still thinking, and my career would have never taken off. I knew there was a lot of pressure. When portraying a character, do you leave your real self behind? I never think that you should leave your real self behind while taking up any character to play on the screen. The latest on the circuit, Anthm, which positions itself as a luxury lounge bar, has the feel of a relaxed getaway in the bustling corporate corridors of Gachibowli, much like the proverbial oasis in the desert. With a pristine white ambience, billowing sheer white curtains, a white bar, and white poolside cabanas dotted with greenery and azure blue water bodies, Anthm impresses with its indoor and outdoor design. There are cruisestyled decks on the poolside and high ceilings inside, with a seamless, spacious vibe. It is no surprise that the interior designers of this luxurious, multi-sensory 45,000 sq. ft. space are the much-acclaimed duo Aamir & Hameeda Sharma. Where Anthm scores, apart from its ambience, is the excellent choice and execution of beverages and food menu. The food menu is quite exhaustive in that it offers more than just finger foods or small plates, which most watering holes in the city are prone to doing. The haleem tarts were brilliant; the super crisp tart shells filled with fresh, hot, and delectable haleem will make for an excellent starter with the cocktails. Ditto for the Rock Shrimp Tempura (the mix of vegetable tempura was also good), Crispy Avocado Chaat, and Paneer Pasanda. Tequila Lemon Thyme Prawn, however, while being a signature menu offering, did not deliver as much as I had looked forward to in terms of flavours, especially with its spirited first name, but both the delicious Lamb Chops with Mash Potato and Andhra Crab (stuffed in shell) more than made up for the miss. The vegetarian Baked Cheese Mushroom Mexican Rice was well-made in the main course, and the pizzas, Fresh Garden and Spicy Jalapeno with Pepperoni were also well-made. Desserts are of the Basque cheesecake, Tres Leches genre. While there are special DJ nights over the weekend, like underground music on Friday, commercial techno on Saturday, and Afro house on Sundays, there are plans on the anvil for more musical nights and Sunday Sundowners. Other highlights include special unlimited F&B (apart from regular a la carte) menus for Sundowner evenings and different DJs playing on Sundays. Sandeep Krishna Padala, co-founder of Anthm, shares, “With a start in Hyderabad, we plan to take the Anthm concept and experience to several other cities next year. scallion that is quite a mouthful. The superfood salad that has assorted Mesclun Greens, Roasted Pumpkin Seeds, Watermelon, and Amaranth Seeds also packs a punch. • 500 gms mix of dried fruits & nuts of choice
• 1/4 cup Orange juice
• 100 ml Rum • 20 ml Brandy • 50 ml Orange Juice

• 1 tbsp. Rum
• 1/4 cup Almond flour

• 1/2 cup Brown rice flour
• 1/8 tsp Nutmeg
• 1/4 cup Jowar flour
• 1 Flax Egg (1 tbsp. flaxseed with 2 tbsp. water)
• 1/2 tsp Baking powder

• Soak the dried fruit & nuts in the rum, brandy, and orange juice mixture for 2-3 weeks. If you don't have enough time, soak them for a day, quickly boil them in orange juice, and then add the alcohol. We need to do this to ensure they are moist & hydrated & absorb the liquids and flavours. • Prepare the flax egg in a bowl by mixing flax seed powder with water and keep aside. Add all the dry ingredients in another bowl- jowar flour, almond flour, brown rice flour, baking powder, soda, spices & jaggery powder. • Add the wet ingredients in another bowl- curd, oil, rum, orange juice, date syrup & the soaked fruits. Combine the two & mix gently till incorporated. Bake this in a preheated oven at 160 degrees for 30-35 minutes until a skewer comes out clean. Let it cool down and enjoy.

• Then, grease the baking tray with some butter and put butter paper on it. Following this, pour the mixture into it and make sure the sides are properly covered. You can also add some walnuts to the mixture. Put it inside the oven (to 175 C) for 2030 min. Take it out and check if it’s done with a toothpick. • Then, prepare the ganache by adding heavy cream to the pan with butter and dark chocolate and let it cook on low heat. After the brownies have rested for 10-20 minutes, spread this ganache evenly over the brownies. Cut them into squares and serve them with chocolate or vanilla ice cream. We all know the story of Ramayana after defeating Ravana and restoring dharma. Rama returned to Ayodhya and was crowned as the king. He ruled for many years with justice and compassion. He had to return to his heavenly abode after completing his earthly duty. The site where Rama was born is believed to be ‘Ram Janmabhoomi,’ which means ‘the birth place of Lord.’ However over time, this site was occupied by various structures that were built by different rulers and communities. The most prominent one was the Babri Masjid, a 16th century mosque that was constructed by Mughal Emperor Babur after demolishing the earlier temple dedicated to Rama. The mosque became a source of controversy and conflict between Hindus and Muslims, who claimed ownership over it. Several attempts were made to resolve this dispute peacefully through dialogue and negotiation, but none succeeded until 2019.
The Court’s Order in favour of Ram Mandir In November 2019, after hearing arguments from both sides, the Supreme Court delivered its historical verdict on one of the most important cases in Indian history. The entire disputed land measuring 2.77 acres should be handed over to a trust formed by Hindus for building a temple at Ram Janmabhoomi. A 5-acre alternative plot should be allotted to Muslims for building a mosque at another location. No other religious structure should be built or demolished within or near Ram Janmabhoomi. 55 January 2024

The Construction Process The Construction process began on August 5th, 2020 with an auspicious ceremony attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself. He broke ground for laying foundation along with other ministers. The construction work involves laying down more than 36 lakh cubic feet worth of concrete every day using advanced technology and machinery. The temple will have a magnificent structure with intricate cravings, sculptures, and paintings depicting the life and deeds of Lord Rama. The temple will also have a grand hall for performing rituals and ceremonies, a library for storing scriptures and books, a museum for displaying artefacts and relics, a meditation centre for spiritual seekers, and a garden for offering prayers and flowers. The temple will be open for devotees from the day of its inauguration, which is expected to be on January 24th, 2024. The temple trust has planned to invite over 25,000 Hindu religious leaders of 136 Sanatan traditions for the Pranpratistha (Consecration ceremony) of the Ram Lalla in the temple. The trust will also feed 1 lakh saints and devotees every day.
Amazing Features of the Ram Lalla Temple • The temple will span 54,700 sq. ft. covering nearly 2.7 acres of land. It will have five domes, clusters of columns, and will reach a height of 50 meters. It will be one of the biggest temples to be built in India after Independence. The temple will also have intricate carvings, sculptures, and paintings depicting the life and deeds of Lord Rama. • The temple will be equipped with modern-day technology and innovation to enhance the experience and convenience of the devotees. For example, it will have a smart entry system that will allow only registered devotees to enter the temple. It will also have a digital library that will provide access to various scriptures and books. • The temple will welcome people from all religions, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. It will respect all faiths and traditions that coexist peacefully in India. It will also promote social harmony and brotherhood among different countries. • The temple will be dedicated to Lord Rama as Ram Lalla (Infant form of Lord Rama). During the ground-breaking ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi installed the idol on August 5th, 2020.

I'd rather be asked why I'm not there enough than why I'm there too much. My father advised, ‘Keep your head down, let your work speak.’ I believe in organic growth, when it hits home, your dedication is evident. No need to shout from the rooftops, let your work speak for itself. Can you share a particularly memorable or challenging moment you experienced while working on any OTT project? Certainly, while working on the OTT project ‘Mum bhai,’ playing a real-life encounter specialist, I faced a significant challenge. I suffered a severe knee injury during intense action sequences, leading to an 8-month to a year-long halt in shooting. The pause coincided with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, further complicating the situation. Resuming after recovery was mentally and emotionally taxing. Rebuilding confidence in performing action sequences was particularly challenging. OTT has allowed actors a diverse range of roles. How has this diversity influenced your selection of characters and projects?
Congratulations on your film ‘Hi Nanna,’ can you share some insights into your character and what drew you to this particular project? ‘Hi Nanna’ is an urban romance drama, marking my debut in Telugu cinema. The story, carefully woven in a short runtime, drew me in. Shouryuv, the filmmaker's persistence, and belief in me were crucial. He wanted me on board for six months, emphasizing that the film wouldn't be the same without me. As a new filmmaker, his unwavering faith resonated with me. Despite the pressure, I embraced the challenge, combining the essence of characters from my previous works. The tagline- We love to hate you, from ‘Pink’ and the dualities in my roles intrigued him. It was both flattering and pressurizing to be the chosen one. Now, with the performance delivered, the audience holds the key to my fate in Telugu cinema. How do you balance your passion for sports with your acting career, and have these two worlds ever intersected unexpectedly? They've intersected in cinema, particularly in projects like ‘Inside Edge’ and ‘Ghoomer.’ While ‘Ghoomer’ didn't involve playing cricket, it showcased a strong sporting background. Sports evokes powerful emotions, and cinematically, it's beautifully captured. Growing up in a sports-oriented environment has provided valuable insights into emotions like victory, defeat, sacrifice, pain, discipline, and dedication. These experiences enrich my performances in front of the camera, making me a better actor.
