As we prepare for open enrollment, I want to update you on changes to our benefit plans for the upcoming year
• Health Insurance: 14% increase
• Dental Insurance: 4% increase
• Vision Insurance: 15% decrease
• Unum Disability: same rates
The increase in health insurance rates is due to nationwide industry trends as well as our overall claims usage from the past year. Over the last few years, we have been extremely fortunate to have had flat health insurance costs. Unfortunately, given both industry patterns and our plan’s loss ratio, we are experiencing a more significant increase this year. Please note that this increase applies to both Day’s share of the cost as well as the employee share of the cost
Lauryl will be visiting your stores and departments to review your individual plan options and provide details on the costs of all available plans. Please note that open enrollment is the only time of year when you can make changes to your benefits, unless you experience a qualifying life event (such as marriage, birth of a child, etc )
As always, please feel free to reach out to me directly with any questions.
Thank you,
Bobbi

As part of our commitment to using technology in smart, innovative ways, a reminder that all job openings are, and have always been, in the Blue Box under Job Openings. This digital hub ensures everyone has the most current information in one place, accessible from any location.
To streamline communication and reduce paper, we will no longer post openings in break rooms. The Blue Box remains your source for job openings and application details.
HR will continue to notify store management of all new openings through the standard email.
Visit Blue Box → Job Openings regularly to explore current roles and apply.

Here at Day's, we are a tight knit group with common goals and values. Tony and I wanted to take it a step further with the Salem team and define what drives us as a group and establish a store centered "Northern Star". This was a great exercise and established a baseline expectation with our Co-owners as it defined what is important in a workplace FOR THEM and provided us all a road map for our journey together.

Year of Yes is one of my all-time favorite books. I encourage everyone to read this. For me, it reminded me of the importance to say "yes" more to the things I wasn't doing, which placed a focus on saying "no" to the things that were draining me. Below is a short YouTube video of Shonda Rhymes and the reasons behind her Year of Yes. Take a look... she's an amazing person! -Bobbi
