It's blue skies, cookouts, catching fireflies, swimming, and time outdoors with family and friends season. Summer is where memories are made and pulled from later. Memories of jumping off the tire swing into the river, or of spreading a blanket into a truck bed and eating pizza, waiting for the fireworks to start. Summertime in Kentucky is unlike anything else. It is real. It's grassroots. It's the smell of the bluegrass this time of year. If you know you know. It's time for togetherness and Jessamine County is bursting with events for your family this season. Starting with the Kentucky Wine and Vine Fest, and free concerts at Rock Fence Park. Try going to Wilmore's Main Street for their events sprinkled throughout the summer. Remember, not just at Christmas, but all year, it's more important than ever to shop locally. You help the local economy and help keep jobs at home. When you shop locally, a real person does a happy dance. Take time to explore our local boutiques, insurance agencies, restaurants and more! Happy Summer!
