THE STORM

Simpson looks to level its record after dropping a tight 76-73 road battle to Gustavus Adolphus on Wednesday. The Storm battled back from a double-digit deficit and even took the lead with under two minutes to play, but the Golden Gusties managed to go back in front and hold on for the win. Anna Wanek scored 16 points and pulled down six boards in the loss.

THE YELLOWJACKETS

UW-Superior comes into the weekend with a perfect 2-0 record. The Yellowjackets hit a lastsecond layup to win their season opener 69-68 over Finlandia and then led wire-to-wire in a 7147 home victory against St. Scholastica.

THE ALL-TIME SERIES

The two teams met for the first time last November in Superior, Wis. The Storm pulled away in the second quarter with a 14-0 run and led by as many as 34 before earning a 77-50 victory. Cassie Nash filled the stat sheet with 22 points, seven steals, two rebounds, two assists and a block to lead the Storm in the effort.
