THE STORM
Simpson captured its first conference win of the season with a 78-71 victory at Buena Vista on Wednesday. The win was the Storm’s fourth in a row; the team opened their winter break with an 3-point overtime loss but tallied three straight wins to close 2022. Simpson leads the conference with 71.9 points game game, 16.62 assists per game and a 46.5 percent field goal percentage.
THE NORSE
Luther is coming off a big, upset win over No. 19 Loras on Wednesday, defeating the Duhawks 68-62 at home to improve to 4-1 in the conference. The Norse have had great success on the road this season, entering today’s matchup with a perfect 6-0 record.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Simpson boasts a 53-38 lead in the head-tohead series with Luther. The Storm have won five straight and eight of the last matchups. All but one of those Storm wins was decided by 15 or more points, including three that were 30-point victories.
