THE STORM

The Storm started off its season with a bang, scoring over 100 points in a home win over Faith Baptist Bible. Newcomer Andrew Gibb led all scorers with a 25-point effort on eight of nine shooting from the field. Gibb also tied Trent Williamson for the team lead in rebounds with seven. The Storm got a solid contribution off the bench from Jack Hutchinson, who scored seven points, dished out six assists, and grabbed five rebounds.

THE GRIFFINS

The game will be the first official contest for the Griffins this season. The only game action the Griffins have seen was a loss to Division I foe Southeast Missouri State, 67-52. The Griffins were selected first in their conference and return two all-conference selections in Caden Clark and Elijah Rice. Combined, the two averaged over 30 points a game last season.

LAST TIME THEY MET

Fontbonne held off a late second-half rally by the Storm in last year’s game. The game, played at Fontbonne, ended up a 68-61 victory for the Griffins. Andrew Curran (12) and Buck Eagleburger (10) led the team in scoring on the night.
