THE STORM
Simpson looks to snap a two-game losing skid and pick up its first American Rivers Conference victory of the year. The Storm rank fourth in the league with 67.2 points per game, but have struggled to find offense recently with an average of just 47.5 in their last two outings.
THE KOHAWKS
Coe is in the same boat as the Storm, hoping to end a two-game losing streak and tally its first conference win. All but one of the Kohawks’ games this season have been decided by 10 or less points. Most recently, Coe dropped its league opener to Luther by two points and then fell 58-53 at Loras. The Kohawks come into today with the best scoring defense in the A-R-C, limiting opponents to 53.9 points per contest.
THE ALL-TIME SERIES
Simpson boasts a 51-16 lead in the head-tohead series with Coe. The Storm have won five straight and picked up more than half of their wins between 1997-2010 when they won 27 consecutive. The Kohawks last beat Simpson at Cowles Fieldhouse during the 2019-20 season.
