T
he Morro Bay Desalination Plant is back in business after the Coastal Commission approved a new permit for the feed-water wells along the Embarcadero. First built in the early 1990s as a supplemental water source in the face of a prolonged drought, the plant on Atascadero Road has been used sparingly over the years, mainly when State Water Project deliveries have been unavailable. hough it’s been starved of any new park space for decades, Los Osos hopes to move forward soon with a new park for their best friends.
