01 URBAN-SCAPE Performing Art Center Location: Chelsea, New York Academic Project Partner: Emily Sun Year: 2017

This performing art center is designed for both citizens from New York City and visitors from all around the world. Adjacent to Highline, the cultural center aims to guide urban landscape into the building to create an internal landscape to infiltrate all program spaces inside the building.

People walk on the Highline will get a new scope of the city by navigating through this cultural center. People's movement will transform from highly dynamic planar movement on Highline to vertical movement or be static. The building is the extension of Highline, a place for people to experience landscape and culture at the same time.

This proposal provides a new point of view of building interior space. Landscape is introduced into building and become special programs among major programs. In this case, the landscape is pushed more beyond purely visual space. It is a space that can be physically sensed and used. The internal landscape is not only the extension of urban landscape from High Line that guide people into the building, but also an internal logic that makes people stay inside the building for unique experience. '

02 WASTELAND Industrial Park/ Education Center Location: Galeria Valley, Italy Academic Project Individual Final Thesis Vear: 2018

Since the beginning of human civilization, our species has continuously altered the natural environment through various forms of intervention. In order to survive the effects of climate change caused by such activity and adapt to the planet's changing ecosystem, it is inevitable that human civilization rethink the ways in which it exchanges matter and energy with the planet.

This proposal invents and deploys a series of land machines to initiate the processing and recycling of an existing landfill's physical waste for the refinement and production of new forms of matter and energy.

In turn, aportion of this matter and energy is deployed on the existing landfill as ameans of transforming its current condition as a burial ground for dead matter into a newly vitalized site of occupation in which new forms of matter and energy emerge. In this way, the proposal engages the logics of a "circular economy" by transforming the landfill into a new source of raw material to be mined for reuse. While the landfill's vast subterranean storage of methane gas is tapped for the production of energy as a means of fueling the proposal's machinic operations, physical matter is refined into new land artifacts for the construction of anew public park.

Thewastemonument is amulti-layer system. Abovethe ground is the plastic tree sculpturethat forms an allee landscape.The industrial infrastructure was hidden underneaththe artificial grass field. It extract. refine. and process materials from landfill waste. Part of the industrial landscape would penetrate the artificial ground and provide visitors with vertical access tothe underground space.

03 VECTOR Future Airport Location: JFK, New York Academic Project Partner: Agata Jakubowska Vear: 2018

The future of the airport relies on its contingency with cargo. Large masses of cargo being transported at different rates rely on a three-dimensional network. In this case, it is a ceiling track system, which enables an activation of multiple levels at once.

This three-dimensional network privileges the cargo and although it is an extremely transparent system, it is up to 100% occupied when the cargo is circulating: creating an experience of visual transparency yet physical inaccessibility. The logistic exists as asystem of extreme efficiency, of moving cargo first through sets of quality checks, then sorting systems and finally atemporary storage, then exiting to the gates through an underground system.

Yet the building embraces the figures of the logistic systems as its formation becomes the focus and aesthetic inspiration of the space, making the logistic performative not only as a cargo delivery system, but also as a multiplescale system of enclosure, structure, as well as circulation for human.

NFH shopping mall is acommercial complex in Xi' an, China. It is consist of ashopping mall, an office bui Iding, and ahotel. The commission is undertaken by Leeser Architecture. The mission is to design landscape for the exterior and interior environment of this commercial complex.

I participated into the schematic phase of this project for two and half months. My responsibilities including schematic design, diagram, render, as well as part of video editing.

For the interior, I participated the design of the landscape of main atrium. The task included planting srategy around the atrium of each floor, aspiral skywalk that is hang from the ceiling, and the green island on the resting area.

In addition , I also helped with the communication and translation with the Chinese client for the office.

For the exterior, I assisted both the design and diagram of varies locations, including the circulation in front of the hotel entrance,

LAOSHAN COMMUNITY PARK Urban Public Space Location: Shanghai, China Vision Landscape & Urban Design Supervisor: Wen Guo Vear: 2018

Laoshan Community Park is part of urban update plan in Shanghai. The site located in front of acommunity cultural center and was partially occupied by agroup of trees.

Based on the discussion with the board of local community, the site was expected to be afocus point to attract both elders and young people to relax and enjoy. Meanwhile, most of the trees were supposed to be preserved according to the city planning code.

The green islands scattered in front of the main entrance of the cultural center to offer additional seating area. Some of the islands use reflective mirror to reflect the artwork composed of limerocks, which altered the sense of depth by reflecting the urban context as well.

06 Fun Tower Office Building Location: Philadelphia BIM Coursework Instructor: Franca Trubiano Vear: 2019

Fun Tower is a coursework project from BIM course at UPenn. It is an office building locates in Walnut Street.

This 11 story building utilize solar mullions and double skin curtain wall to optimize the energy use in the building. The office building includes three stories basement, two stories lobby, and six stories office level.

interior staircase, which essentially creates a continuous working space.

The west facade of the building is covered by solar mullions, which provides shading for the buiding. The south side of the building equipped with a double skin curtain wall to absorb the extra heat during the daytime and release the heat during night time.

The general massing of the building is split into two parts: The lower part functions as a two-story lobby, which serves as main entrance and exit: The upper part contains office program, but also has a large balcony for people to rest and relax. The top two stories of office level are connected by an
