Peter Gilgan Mississauga Hospital | Trillium Health Partners (New-Build)

• Developed the design and construction documentation for the public spaces in this 22-storey acute care hospital, including feature entrances, main circulation areas, and retail spaces.

• Researched architectural products and coordinated with suppliers and manufacturers to develop construction details for feature stairs and railings, curved wood-slat wall systems, security grilles, and custom entrance canopies.

• Reviewed elevator consultant shop drawings and collaborated with EllisDon and PCL to develop standardized architectural details across all 48 elevators, coordinating wall assemblies, door frame locations, clearances, and finishes.

• Prepared architectural documentation for Building Permit, Tender, and Construction Document submissions, including plans, reflected ceiling plans, interior elevations, sections, and details.

• Performed site reviews, documented deficiencies, and prepared field review reports.

Block 2 Parliamentary Precinct Redevelopment | PSPC (Demo & Addition)

• Developed schematic floor plans for the Senate of Canada and House of Commons by analyzing the Functional Program and Proximity Diagrams in collaboration with David Chipperfield Architects (London, UK).

• Built a comprehensive Revit BIM model of the 11 building city block by examining 100 years of archival documents in conjunction with 3D Point-Cloud survey data in order to produce accurate existing conditions and demolition drawings.

• Prepared milestone Predesign and Schematic Design reports by integrating multidisciplinary consultant chapters into a graphically and editorially cohesive document.

• Collaborated with heritage and structural consultants to define demolition and preservation scope for Early Works Demolition packages.

• Integrated OBC and accessibility requirements into the design process by evaluating occupant loads, exit stair width requirements, travel distances, areas of refuge, and other life safety provisions in coordination with code and accessibility consultants.

• Facilitated weekly multidisciplinary consultant coordination meetings by developing agendas, documenting meeting minutes and decisions, and tracking action items through to resolution.

Toronto Zoo Entrance (New-Build)

• Collaborated closely with the client and multidisciplinary consultants from early Schematic Design through 100% Design Development to finalize the Toronto Zoo’s new welcome centre campus, featuring a conservation research facility, visitor amenities, and an integrated animal habitat exhibit.

• Developed the site plan through iterative studies of building placement, orientation, and massing, carefully balancing existing infrastructure, topography, ravine setbacks, protected trees, program requirements, circulation, and the overall guest arrival experience.

• Prepared Class D, C, and B cost estimates, evaluating design alternatives to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining design intent and project objectives.

• Prepared Site Plan Approval (SPA) submission documents and coordinated compliance with Toronto Green Standard (TGS) requirements, including green roofs, bicycle parking, and EV infrastructure.

• Researched façade systems and contributed to the development of a custom sandwich panel assembly for the building envelope.
