At Masterpiece, we understand that building your dream home can be a daunting task. That’s why we aim to simplify the process by providing a one-stopshop experience. We take care of everything, from the initial development of your brief to handing over the keys to your luxurious new home.

Our comprehensive approach ensures that every aspect of your build is covered with meticulous attention to detail. Here’s a breakdown of the main steps we take to bring your dream home to life.

1. Feasibility assessment
When it comes to knockdown rebuild projects, we explore how we can maximise the development potential of your land to ensure you get the best outcome and deliver the perfect home. Our team will carefully consider your neighbourhood, budget and timeline before beginning, as well as your chosen home’s functionality and visual appeal.
2. Planning
With a comprehensive understanding of different council municipalities, we’re able to efficiently oversee all aspects of your knockdown rebuild project.
3. Choose your floorplan, facade and finishes
Choose the facade that best works for you and create the best looking home on your street, with a striking facade that sets the tone for luxurious living once you venture inside.
4. Tender and colour selections
Once your tender is signed, you’ll move onto one of the most exciting points of the journey – selecting all the colours for your new home. This is where you’ll get to work one-on-one with our Interior Design Consultant to finalise your internal and external colours, fittings and fixtures along with your home’s electrical layout and your heating and cooling.
5. Contract and finance approval
Before we go to site and start construction on your new home, you will see all your decisions from the past couple of months come together in your Masterpiece Contract which is a Housing Industry Association (HIA) Domestic Building Contract.
6. Demolition
Demolition is one of the biggest milestones! We will be right by your side in obtaining quotes, engaging demolition companies and disconnecting services on your behalf.
7. Construction and quality assurance
Once all the required approvals are in place and we've ordered all the materials, a Masterpiece Site Supervisor will be appointed to oversee the construction of your new home and manage all the trades on-site. Throughout construction, you’ll receive weekly updates and be able to visit the site with your Supervisor at key milestones of your build on request.
8. Completion and settlement
Following our final QA checks towards the end of your build, we will issue a Notice of Completion to you that invites you to attend an inspection with your Site Supervisor. During this walk-through, any minor issues requiring attention will be noted and agreed upon. Once rectified, you will attend a second inspection to sign-off on your home, acknowledging that you are happy with the completed home. Next, a final invoice will be issued and payment is required prior to us handing over the keys.
9. Post-Completion Care
Each Masterpiece is designed so that you are able to have a smooth journey to move-in and beyond. As you get settled, we’ll check back in at the 3-month mark to attend to any items that require further attention or touch-ups in accordance with your Building Contract.
