What we do
Broadreach Marine provides turn key technical solutions to ship owners. Launched in 2010, we have had many years of success in the marine industry and have 15 years of success and development by opening a South Korean office in 2017. Operating as Broadreach Marine Technical Consultants & Marine Surveyors we provide full Plan Approval, Project Management, Marine Training and Technical Authorship, HSE and Quality Auditing and Risk Assessments.
We have a unique network of consultants from both Asia and Europe who, through their extensive experience in the industry, can provide high quality and cost-effective solutions to our clients. We also run independent, bespoke training courses and write technical papers and books for the marine industry.

35 years shipping industry experience has provided me with huge diversity of knowledge across all parts of the industry Sailing as Chief Engineer, working as a Shiprepair Manager, working as a Superintendent and then for Lloyd’s Register and DNV as a Principal Surveyor and with the Salvage Association, has enabled me to experience many technical and business aspects of the shipping world. Since 2002 I have been Project Managing marine new builds in Asia - Japan, Philippines, South Korea and Vietnam. I have worked from the UK to the Middle East and to Asia.

HSE & Risk Assessments
Broadreach Marine employs qualified HSE Managers and Risk Assessors to carry out assessments to the highest internationally recognised standards and industry best practice, controlled and confidentially reported under our in-house Marine Quality Procedures.
Our special area of competence in Asia is the provision of independent assessments of yards, sub-contractors’ and vendors’ works before a shipping building project starts or as part of the pre-contract selection process. We can also carry out assessments in China,Japan, Philippines and Viettnam,or other countries as necessary with ease.
The team’s experience extends to working with governments in preparing and presenting specialist White Papers to mitigate the commercial and technical risks involved in marine new building projects placement prior to committing to multimillion-dollar contracts.
