BARRY THOMAS MINNERY MA FCMA CGMA FCMI CMgr MAE MCICM EXPERT WITNESS 2024 I specialise in forensic accounting utilising vast experience as a CFO in business to deliver court compliant expert reports for civil, criminal, family cases and private matters.

I have extensive experience at board level in multi-nationals, plc’s, private companies, SME’s and family owned businesses and have been a front-line business manager through all the challenges presented by technological revolution; globalisation; deregulation and recession and boom.

As a result I have accumulated a wealth of commercial and financial acumen and a thorough understanding of the drivers and dynamics of business and entrepreunership and have established my own practice as a forensic accounting expert and business adviser.

As a sole practitioner I prepare all the material for my reports myself and work to a maximum four week turnaround working with clients to agree a date for delivery to meet client/ court directions. I accept instructions nationally and undertake legally aided work I have worked as a part time lecturer preparing and presenting material to mature students studying for professional qualifications and have over 10 years experience in non executive advisory roles.

I currently acts as a part time non executive adviser to an international business from which I retired as CFO. I am regulated by three chartered institutes for professional and ethical standards and am a Full Member of the Academy of Experts. I am registered with the ICO and have Enhanced DBS certification. I hold a Practising Certificate from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants which is renewed annually and am regulated by the same body for Anti Money Laundering.

BUSINESS CAREER My business career has embraced multinationals, plc’s, sme’s and family-owned businesses in a wide range of industries as a CFO and business manager which has been recognised with the Chartered Manager designation which is the highest business management qualification.

I have lectured to mature students studying for professional qualifications and presented financial appreciation courses to business executives.

I have part-time non-executive roles providing advice to directors on strategy and governance and have acted as a trustee with a multi school academy. My membership of three chartered institutes ensure I work to the highest professional and ethical standards and my extensive business experience complements my forensic accounting skills with proven and accredited business acumen.
