MULTIFUNCTIONAL LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT PLAN
CINFÃES, PORTUGAL
The main challenge of this work was creating a Management Plan for the landscape of Cinfães, focusing on an in-depth analysis to identify and describe its main characteristics. This analysis demonstrated the area's potential on various scales, inspiring proposals for landscape planning and requalification, nature conservation, biodiversity promotion, environmental and cultural development, economic growth, social welfare, and employment.

Conservation and exploration of farms/houses for exhibitions, lectures, socializing, study/work, accommodation for digital nomads, among others.
The fundamental concept was to bring dynamic socio-economic, cultural, and environmental growth to Cinfães, creating synergies between conservation, management, and production. The multifunctional Landscape Management Plan integrates agricultural and forestry production, conservation of natural and builtheritage, andtourismandrecreation.
For the last phase of this class and work, the Management Plan was drawn up, which would now be a set of all the functions of the landscape together, highlighting the tourism andrecreationfunction.

ECOLOGICAL STRUCTURE AND PUBLIC SPACE
MATOSINHOS, PORTUGAL
The goal of this class was the valorization of the landscape of the county of Matosinhos from the analysis of its Ecological Structure, working at different scales. Detailed design solutions will be outlined to mutually influence each other, wich will imply revisions and improvements.
It was also intended to give continuity to the skills learned and developed in the classes of designing outdoor spaces, with special emphasis on the elaboration of a base study and detailed solutions in the urban structure with a view to its landscape qualification according to principles of nature. historical, cultural, socialandenvironmental.
After analyzing the municipality and dividing it between 5 working groups, each one analyzed it in terms of its green spaces, according to the methodology developed by Farinha-Marquesetal.,(2014)*.
Afterwards, an exercise was carried out resulting in the design of our idea of the Matosinhos's Ecological Structure based on the model of Nodes and Links, in which the "nodes" are represented by parks and gardens, and the "links" are represented by tree-lined streets and open spaces named asexpectant/terrain vague.
As a last step, a project was developed at the level of the preliminary study for the chosenexpectantspace.

MASTER'S THESIS RESUME
THEME: "Urban Regeneration through the Green Structure: from the analysis of the territory to the proposal of a new Green Urban Park on the city of Coimbra"
Green spaces are essential in urban environments for their ecological, social, and cultural roles, enhancing quality of life and city aesthetics. As cities grow rapidly, addressing structural challenges and revitalizing neglected areas, or wastelands, through thoughtful interventions becomes crucial.
GREEN SPACES AND MAIN GREEN CORRIDORS IN THE CITY OF COIMBRA
A study on Coimbra's green infrastructure mapped green spaces and corridors, identifying wastelands strategic locations. A proposed Landscape Architecture project for a new Urban Green Park focuses Placemaking and public participation, to promote sustainability.

HOUSE WHITE URBAN PARK
The intervention area covers 4.80 hectares, considering current and future connections with urban fronts, services, and facilities such as educational establishments, retail, banks, food, and sports, linking with the Solum area of Coimbra.
Keyissuesinclude:
Lack of access and difficult circulation, worsened by the upcoming Mondego MobilitySystemMetroBusproject; 1. Devaluation of natural resources and plant heritage; 2. Denseurbanfabricandhumanactivity; 3.
4.
High costs limiting interest to multi-family housing.
The old Coimbra-Lousã railway line is preserved for its historical value and has influenced the design of this proposal, inspired by its layout and thefutureMetroBusline.
The proposal transforms the area that started as aExpectantSpaceintoanewUrbanGreenPark, enhancing circulation, attraction, comfort, and utility, connecting the urban center and surroundings, and serving as a reference point betweenmetrostops.
The park will preserve the old railway line with aesthetic enhancements, focusing on color, texture, and biodiversity. It will include leisure spaces like a "playscape" children's area and a nearby picnic spot. Tree-lined squares are planned at entrances and key intersections, with Praça das Floreiras featuring mobile benches with built-in flower boxes for flexible use during eventsorfairs.
The park will feature large meadows for diverse activities and implement a variety of native vegetation for adaptability and success. Vegetation will include trees, shrubs, and herbaceous plants, with hydro-zones grouping species bywaterneeds.
The area will be divided into clearings for activities, edges, and woods for visual and sound barriers, creating a peaceful escape from city stress. The terrain will be modeled for comfortable pedestrian paths and aesthetic diversity, with some preserved vegetation as islands.
A natural drainage system will direct runoff and rainwater to retention basins for irrigation use. A
Sustainable Urban Drainage System (SUDS) will be integrated, with rain gardens and tree boilers in Praça das Bétulas to manage surface runoffandinfiltration.

PLANTING AND IRRIGATION REVISION
The concept for the outdoor space considers the site's characteristics and potential, including 300 meters of Douro River exposure and pronounced orography. These factors shaped the terrain modeling and urban space design, ensuring a functional and aesthetically pleasing transition to theoutdoorspace.
The topography was utilized to create five main functional zones at different levels, connected by terraceswithgabionwalls, staircases, andramps.
For this project I delivered tasks such as the revisionof:
PlantingandIrrigationPlans;
HOUSING BUILDING, ALGARVE
Located on the coast of Eastern Algarve, 200m from the sea, the project is surrounded by lagoons, dunes, bushes, andcoastalpineforests.
Aiming to create an appealing common outdoor living space, the water element serves as a focal point, defining spaces for various experiences. The outdoor area extends the private spaces of each apartment, offering visual connections to the landscape and moments of contemplation framed byregionalflora.
These spaces transition between floor 0 and floor -1, connecting to the beach and defining the project's concept. The terrain was shaped in harmony with the buildings. Pedestrian routes define areas for hammocks, lounge spaces, a playground, abicyclepark, anddiversegreenery.
For this project I delivered tasks such as the revisionof:
