OUR MISSION To cultivate relationships, strengthen communities and nurture spirit, mind and body for all.
OUR IMPACT Because of Silver Bay YMCA, connections between people and family are stronger.People are more connected, respectful and caring. They have the confidence to develop to their full potential and to positively impact the communities in which they work and live. As a result, communities are more dynamic, comprehensive and varied. As stewards of Lake George, we inspire people to be stewards of the environment while they are visiting our magnificent campus and in their home communities.
A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO the long-term sustainability of the organization and the life-changing experiences that define Silver Bay. Financial stewardship and mission are not competing priorities, but are in fact inseparable. By carefully managing our resources today, we create the opportunity to serve generations to come. The financial results reflected in this year’s report are a testament to the disciplined work of our staff, leadership, and Board of Directors to steadily close our operating deficit while remaining committed to our mission. While there is still work ahead, these results demonstrate that thoughtful stewardship and strategic decision-making are creating a stronger, more sustainable future for Silver Bay.
Lucas Callahan - Chief Executive Officer
At the same time, we must continue investing in the places and spaces that allow our mission to thrive. Throughout the past year, we have made meaningful progress on several important infrastructure projects, improving our campus while preserving the beauty and character that make Silver Bay unique. These investments enhance the experience of every guest, strengthen our ability to serve the community, and ensure that this extraordinary property remains a welcoming destination for families, conferences, community members, and visitors alike.
None of this would be possible without the It is an incredible honor to serve as President and generosity of our donors, the dedication of our staff CEO of Silver Bay YMCA. As I step into this role, I and volunteers, and the commitment of everyone do so with a deep appreciation for this remarkable who believes in Silver Bay YMCA. Thank you for your community and the opportunity to help shape its continued partnership and support. Together, we are future. RE-IMAGINING THE SPACES AT SILVER BAY YMCA Honoring Tradition While Creating New Experiences
These past few years, we have embraced a philosophy of looking at underutilized spaces not for what they were, but for what they could become. The result has been a series of thoughtful transformations that have enhanced the guest experience, strengthened our community, and created new opportunities for connection.
Steve Butler - Vice President of Guest Experience
Silver Bay YMCA has always been a place where families, friends, and generations of guests come together to connect, relax, and create lifelong memories. As we continue to honor our rich history, we are also finding creative ways to reimagine our spaces to better serve today’s guests while preserving the timeless spirit that makes Silver Bay so special.
One of the most successful examples is the former Inn check-in desk. Once an unused space following operational changes, it has been transformed into a vibrant Happy Hour gathering area that operates seven days a week throughout the summer. Whether guests are waiting to check in, winding down after a day on the lake, or simply looking to meet new people, this welcoming space has become a favorite destination. Families and friends gather over drinks, conversations begin between strangers, and the Silver Bay community grows stronger every evening. Beyond creating a memorable experience, the space now generates in seasonal revenue helping us further support our growing infrastructure needs, demonstrating how thoughtful innovation can both enrich the guest experience and support the organization’s sustainability. A similar vision inspired the transformation of the program area located between the two gymnasiums in Fisher Gym. Today, this space serves as “Fisher Lounge,” a welcoming gathering place for community members, guests, and members alike. Open seven days a week from 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., The Lounge offers summer beverages, food service from the campus store, televised major sporting events, live jazz music, and a comfortable atmosphere designed for conversation and relaxation.
More than simply a lounge, the space has quickly evolved into a flexible venue for family celebrations, group events, and community gatherings. To ensure that the space reflects the heart of Silver Bay, we have begun collecting historic staff apparel, vintage photographs, and memorabilia from longtime employees and guests. These displays celebrate the generations of people who have shaped Silver Bay while sparking conversations and cherished memories among visitors of all ages. The Lounge serves as a bridge between Silver Bay’s remarkable history and its exciting future.

Another exciting development has been the creation of our year-round restaurant, The Mountain View Grille, experience on campus. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy dining on the beautiful screened-in porch and patio of the William Boyd Center, taking advantage of the fresh Adirondack air and stunning surroundings. As the seasons change, restaurant operations transition seamlessly into the Dining Hall, ensuring that quality dining remains available throughout the year. PHILANTHROPY AT SILVER BAY Silver Bay had another record year in fundraising for its Annual Fund. 2025 year end resulted in raising $2,122,428 in unrestricted funds to support our operations, which is $122,428 beyond our goal and $363,000 over the prior year’s results. We owe much of this to the Double Your Donation incentive program spearheaded by a handful of dedicated donor families. We thank them deeply as well as all our generous donors. THANK YOU ALL! We have successfully integrated philanthropy into Silver Bay’s yearly income stream. It is a major foundation of Silver Bay’s sustainability and success supporting operations, programs, and the work we do to carry out our mission. Annual philanthropy now comprises roughly twenty percent of our budget. We need everyone’s strong support to keep Silver Bay strong.
