THIS year’s International Women’s Day celebrations were held at Naibor Secondary School, Laikipia County on 18th April 2013; bringing together stakeholders from private and public sector who focused on gains made in championing for the empowerment of women in the country. The guest of honor Mr Mwakio Righa (Director, Ministry of Gender and Social Services) noted that promotion of gender equality and empowerment is a major development issue of concern at global level.
