Civic Education Campaigns Peace caravans were used to sensitize communities in Kibera, Korogocho and Kiambiu on the importance of peaceful elections in 2013. During the campaign, information communication materials emphasizing the need to uphold peace were also disseminated.

Strengthening Cohesion and Trust among Conflicting Communities TENANTS who capitalized on the 2007-2008 post election violence to occupy houses in Kiambiu slum returned them to rightful owners in 2013 - thanks to USAID/Kenya Tuna Uwezo Program efforts in building trust among communities in the slum.

Countering Violent Extremism Activities like international women’s day and leadership trainings have strengthened community and civil society social networks while promoting collaboration on community issues toward the resolution of grievances.
