Fulton Center Transit Hub NYC USA: Traversing the folk effectively
Fulton Center is the newly built transit hub and retail complex situated at the intersection of Fulton Street and Broadway in Lower Manhattan of New York City in USA. Designed by Grimshaw, it was opened on November 11, 2014. The project was commissioned by Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) - public agency for the state of New York, who has taken the initiative to reinstate the Fulton Street New York City Subway station and construct the retail shops and underground passageways with access points. Fulton center Transit Hub is one of the best buildings of 2015. It connects eleven subways and sees approximately 300,000 passengers at daily basis.
Fulton center has created around a vast atrium with a transparent faรงade with tapered steel column. The atrium rise up to 110 feet with a conical dome at the top centered over the concourse below. The dome is decreased by angled glass of rounded shape to the southern sky led to the entrance of natural light which magnifies the integrated artwork, Sky Reflector-Net. Entrance of the center allows the view of streets to spread throughout the center leads to clear and efficient pathways for the below train platform.
