Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi, UAE: The more the Merrier It seems that skyscrapers are the specialty of UAE and current one is not only serving one purpose but it is accommodating multi-functional building which leads Etihad tower to being a structure of five towers in totality. Etihad Tower is located in West Corniche road, Abu Dhabi, UAE. Being in the eminent locality it comes near the Arabian Gulf and opposite of prestigious Emirates Palace Hotel. The design of Etihad had picked from an architectural designing competition in 2005 where the selected design was the winner. Initially it was taken by Sheikh Suroor Projects Department but later on many international architectural firms has been roped in this project. One of the essential is The Jumeirah Group- who taken care of Hotel tower of Etihad and many portions of podium over which the tower is standing. Etihad Tower has completed on 2011.
Etihad Towers consist of five towers which serves more than one function. It has multi-level base of podium which place over a four level basement of car parking. The tallest of them are of 76 storey reach up to the height of 984 feet leads Etihad in the category of skyscrapers. The total area it takes is 500,000 square meters. Three of them are residential towers contains 885 apartments and 179 floors which ranges from one bedroom to penthouse apartment. The Hotel tower contains 882 luxury hotels with 59 floors. All of these hotels are above the 199 serviced apartments.
