Another unforgettable time at Surfer’s Way in Long Beach! Surfer’s Way is a non-profit organization designed to offer children with special needs the opportunity to experience the exhilaration and liberation of surfing. Together with our friends at Contour Mortgage, we cheered on some truly amazing kids as they caught waves and filled the beach with smiles. We love supporting this special event and the joy it brings year after year.

NATIONAL ICE CREAM DAY
Summer would not be summer without ice cream! We celebrated National Ice Cream Day with ice cream parties at all of our offices. It was the perfect treat on a beautiful day.

Marty Grace Ambrosio participated in the 26-mile Wounded Warriors Community Bike Ride, on July 18th. Starting in Babylon and ending in Cedar Beach, she rode over the Robert Moses Bridge and raised $1,500. She also did a 62-mile bike ride on Sept 6th, in Dover, Delaware, called The Amish Bike Ride.
Carol Hiltz had the blessing of becoming a Nana to Julian King Guidarelli, born on July 16th
Patti Gosman and her husband celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary on August 23rd and brought the family to Disney!
Marianne Lappas welcomed a new grandchild, Oriana Lappas, born on July 8th in New Port Richie, Florida.
Paula Johnson’s dog, Fiadh won Best of Breed at the Planting Fields in Upper Brookville on September 27th, came in Best of Opposite to the male GSP, plus earned her Farm Dog Certification.
Hernan Serrano’s son, Jake, married Gabrielle Danzeisen, on September 5, at the church of Sant Bartomeu in city of Soller in Mallorca, Spain. They were joined by 80 of their family and friends for a week of celebrations, including boat trips, Gent dinners, Mermaid dinners, cliffside cocktail parties, beach club visits and a beautiful garden welcome event.
Teresa DeDonato welcomed her first grand child ever, from her daughter Angelina and son in law Adam. Baby Adam Joseph was born September 14th at 10:09, 9 lbs 20 Inches.

Carol Coopersmith’s daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Bryan Foti, welcomed their first baby, a boy, Owen David Foti on August 13th at 1lb. 11oz. He’s currently still in the NICU but doing well.
Eliot Lonardo was reappointed as chairman for the Town Of Huntington Board of Assessment Review. Gil Picard was also appointed to Board for a 5 year term.
Wendy Hyde’s 14-year-old son, Liam, accepted an invitation to play soccer this summer in SPAIN, representing the NY Empire FC through their youth program!
Deborah Berkman’s daughter-inlaw, Sarah Berkman, started her new position on September 1st as Director of Social Work at Huntington Hospital!

Yavuz Girdap’s wife, Dr. Hafza Girdap, was honored with Dr. Martin Luther King Visionary Award in Nassau County along with a NYS proclamation of recognition. The awards: New York State Official Proclamation of Recognition (New York State Assembly), the Women of Destiny Honoree Award (Dr. King Visionary Awards), Nassau County Office of the Executive Citation.
Stacy McFadden was honored by the Town of Babylon as an Unsung Hero! This is a well-deserved recognition of her dedication, hard work, and the positive impact she has made!
