I have the honour to extend, in my capacity as Honorary Consul of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Malta, my institutional support to SiGMA South America, an international event of recognised relevance to the promotion of dialogue, innovation, and cooperation in the fields of technology, gaming, and digital services.
Brazil and Malta maintain a relationship founded on mutual respect, constructive cooperation, and the shared promotion of responsible and well-regulated economic activities. Malta’s consolidated expertise in technology-driven sectors, combined with Brazil’s scale, dynamism, and innovation capacity, offers significant opportunities for bilateral engagement. In this context, SiGMA South America constitutes a relevant platform for strengthening institutional dialogue and fostering sustainable partnerships between Europe and Latin America.
The Summit provides an appropriate forum for interaction among public authorities, regulators, industry representatives, and investors, while reinforcing principles of transparency, regulatory integrity, and sustainable development.
I am pleased to inform that, subject to the official programme, I intend to attend SiGMA South America, thereby reaffirming the Consulate’s interest in initiatives that contribute to the deepening of Malta–Brazil cooperation and international engagement.
