Your badge is your ticket to entry. Badges are required for entry to all sessions, events and EXPO floor. Badge sharing, splitting and reprints are strictly prohibited. Registration is required to attend Instructional Courses and name badges will be scanned at the door. Check with the registration counter to add on an Instructional Course. Please wear your name badge to the GALA for entry access.
WHERE ARE THE HANDOUTS?
Online access to conference slides of symposia and instructional courses (when provided by presenters) are available to all registered attendees—access is based on your registration selections. Attendees may access slides for the same DAY that they register and not for the full conference unless they purchased the WORLD PASS. Slides are accessible via the conference app and the online program. Your login details to access the app and the online program login have been emailed from crobinson@acrm.org to the email address provided when you registered. You can request a new password by selecting the “Forgot Access Key” in the app or in the online program. Access to the available conference slides may also be purchased by those not attending at the special price of $399/549 for member/non member.

Held before the Core ACRM Conference, Instructional Courses are either half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours). Courses offer in-depth training or knowledge translation. CMEs are included. Not considered Instructional Courses and ticketed separately: these two-day brain injury courses: ACRM Cognitive Rehabilitation Training and the Academy of Certified Brain Injury Specialists (ACBIS) National Certification Program.
LaunchPad is a rehabilitation technology innovation competition developed by the ACRM Technology Networking Group. The competition will be held on Tuesday afternoon 5 November.

SYMPOSIUM*
POSTER GRAND ROUNDS
Symposia are 75 minute-educational sessions, presented by professionals with expertise in the specific topic areas. More than 200 symposia sessions are held during the CORE conference within nine different blocks of concurrent sessions.
These are moderated walking tours of four selected award-winning scientific posters. Each poster author will briefly lecture about the key points of their study and answer questions.
CORE CONFERENCE 3.5 DAYS 5 – 8 NOV The ACRM CORE Conference refers to three and one half days full of evidencebased educational sessions (symposia), Plenaries, Featured Sessions, Oral Presentations, hundreds of scientific posters, a lively ACRM EXPO, dozens of ACRM community meetings, and nightly receptions.
ACRM COMMUNITY MEETINGS These are the heart of ACRM and refer to meetings held by ACRM Interdisciplinary Special Interest Groups, Networking Groups, forming Groups, Task Forces, and ACRM committees. Dozens of meetings are held during the CORE conference — bright and early morning before the Plenaries and during lunch breaks. Most meetings are OPEN to all registered attendees (unless otherwise noted in the schedule). All registrants are encouraged to attend. There are many volunteer positions available. This is where the work happens — to collaboratively advance the science of rehabilitation and its translation into clinical practice to IMPROVE LIVES. Don’t miss these opportunities — to meetup with colleagues who share interests, challenges, and goals, to make friends and to make a meaningful mark in the future of

PLENARIES Plenary sessions are the only unopposed educational sessions — scheduled to open up each day of the CORE conference with hot topics of interest for all attendees. Faculty and topics for Plenaries II, III, and IV are selected and invited by the ACRM Program Committee. Plenary I is the John Stanley Coulter lecturer Award winner.
FEATURED SESSIONS Not quite plenaries, but no less exciting, the ACRM Program Committee created two opposed Featured Sessions offering a choice between two huge topics: (1) Federal Funding and (2) Scamabilitation.

This presentation will review what we have learned about the effects of acute intermittent hypoxia (AIH) from studies on the neural control of breathing and its restoration after damage to neural or musculoskeletal elements engaged in respiration. In particular, we will show that following AIH, substantial enhancements of motor outflow arise in both the neural pathways regulating breathing, and also in non-respiratory motor systems, such as major limb muscles in both upper and lower extremities. Here’s a super-quick primer and a glimpse at how ACRM is using social media to help make the rehabilitation research field a little smaller and to help advance our missions. The power of social media can help us find each other all over the world. We can help motivate and inspire one another, we can answer each other’s burning questions and quite possibly even make new friends for life. We see a beautful connected future with the help of these great (& free!) social media solar systems. FLICKR: Photo archiving & sharing platform. Each ACRM community group has it’s own photo album with member pictures and promotional “badge” graphics to use and to share. Go to the photostream: flickr.com/photos/acrm/ FACEBOOK: Follow ACRM pages, like and share updates and post your own thoughts, updates and questions to ACRM facebook pages. Facebook Groups (different from pages) can be OPEN to public or CLOSED. LINKEDIN: The buttoned-up, more professional version of facebook. LinkedIn Groups allow closed conversations. TWITTER: Real-time communication — short updates, photos and videos and brings the world of rehabilitation closer together through the use of hashtags. YOUTUBE: Not just for “cat videos,” YouTube is the “go to” social media video site YouTube channel has our full collection of community group webinars and other informative videos.
