ARTIST PROFILES Each of the bags in our Charlie Collection is unique. They are handmade and one-of-akind. The fabric is also eco-friendly, printed in the United States, and lovingly created by talented textile artists across the globe.

Lizzie Clark is an artist and surface pattern designer from State College, PA. Her style is largely contemporary floral and organic themes, with hints of Scandinavian and Japanese influences – in sophisticated and calming colors. Lizzie’s work brings art to life and beauty to the function of every day.

Daniela Casadio is an architecturally trained multidisciplinary designer and surface pattern artist based in Perth, Australia. She is a lover of color and nature, who draws inspiration for her digital and hand drawn designs from travel, as well as her love of art, design, and architecture.

Tina Vey is an artist and surface pattern designer and artist from Amherst, MA who is inspired by simple shapes, textures, and color.

Her passion has been to explore ways to combine traditional hand drawing with digital technology to create fresh contemporary Scandinavian designs.

Lora Gallagher’s Hawaiian surroundings and history have influenced her own artistic expression and beautiful designs, along with her study of ethnobotany which began her interest in indigenous and endemic plants.

In her career she balances creativity and economics, but art remains her passion.

Christine Weenk is a graphic designer, fashion designer, and artist based in British Columbia, Canada. She creates unique abstract patterns which are designed to inspired and encourage confidence.

Laura Muñoz Estellés is the artist and designer behind Ninola, a textile design studio based in Valencia, Spain. She has created the hand-painted watercolor illustrations, many colorful floral prints, which make common things more beautiful.

Amy MacCready, a surface pattern designer and artist who is originally from the US, but now based in the Netherlands. Named by Print magazine to their Top Five Pattern Designers to Follow on Instagram, her illustrations of patterns, florals, and cute animals come alive with lots of hidden details.

Lisa Congdon is a Portland, Oregon-based fine artist, illustrator and author known for her colorful drawings. Lisa has achieved recognition, not just as an artist. In 2021, she was named “One of the 50 Most Inspiring People According to Industry Creatives” published by AdWeek.

Maaike Boot is an illustrator and surface pattern designer based in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Her work is inspired by nature and her views cycling from the city to the beach. Maaike’s prints often evoke Scandinavian-style minimalism with their bright, bold illustrations.

Dominique Vari is textile designer, creative explorer, and nature lover based in London.

Her work varies from typography to graphic and organic illustrations, patterns and photography. Dominique’s themes reflect life experiences and interests and her minimal and Mid-Century modern style.

Jen Florentine is an Ohio-based abstract artist and textile designer who brings very personal stories to each of her paintings and illustrations. Color and texture have played a significant role in her approach to her artwork, which has also been inspired by nature and her surroundings.

Kate Rhees is a very talented surface pattern designer and artist from Salt Lake City, UT who brings us colorful and humorous textiles which generally are inspired by her love of nature birds. Her minimal, yet Mid-Century Modern designs are very Scandinavian-like in their style.

Sharon Turner is a Cornwall, UK artist, illustrator and designer who loves to make patterns from everything which inspires her - animals, nature, architecture and color.

With a background in biological chemistry, biomedical science, and interior design, her superpower is drawing all things scrumptious.
