SERVICE HELD AT: Bahamas Faith Ministries (BFM) Carmichael Rd Nassau, New Providence The Bahamas OFFICIATING: Pastor Brooks Russell Moderator: Mandel Miller INTERMENT: Lakeview Memorial Gardens Mausoleums John F. Kennedy Drive Nassau, New Providence The Bahamas

Stefan “Legend” Davis was a beloved son, brother, father, artist, entrepreneur, mentor, and friend. His life was defined by creativity, perseverance, humility, and an unwavering love for his craft. Born on September 6th, 1970, to Theresa Davis and Stephen Lightbourne, Stefan was a quiet, humble child who grew into a man of remarkable focus, determination, and extraordinary talent. From an early age, he expressed himself through art, drawing characters in his schoolbooks and doodling on his homework. Stefan attended Our Lady’s Primary School, Aquinas College, and later graduated from Government High School. During family vacations to Philadelphia in the late 1970s and 1980s, Stefan became fascinated by artists spray-painting and airbrushing in the malls. That experience

stayed with him. In his twenties, he began seriously honing his craft, travelling throughout the United States to attend seminars and study airbrush techniques. THE NAMES BEHIND THE LEGEND As his artistry evolved, so did the names people knew him by: Stix. Stefanel. And eventually, Legend. At the family’s home in Stapledon Gardens, Stefan and his younger brother worked together in the garage, painting pants and creating artwork for others. He also used his talents to create Junkanoo costumes, connecting his art to an important Bahamian tradition. His love for music and fashion began at a very early age – being a part of the rap group Black Juice, alongside Obi and Dax, was just another layer to his creativity and his natural ability to express himself. He had

a unique sense of style and an undeniable passion for music that became a part of who he was.

heart. He cherished the everyday moments of fatherhood— school pickups, family trips, laughter, and time spent together.

In 1991, Stefan opened Too Deep Graphyx with partners Farrand Lockhart and Andrew Brown. He later worked with Darren Bastian and Teran Rodgers through M2 Designs.

He was known for his love of KFC, so much so that he even received a free year’s supply. As Teja and Tristan would remember, a school pickup might occasionally be delayed by an important KFC stop.

After travelling to Miami to refocus and rebrand, Stefan returned home and established Airbrush Junkies at the Mall at Marathon. The business became synonymous with customized airbrush clothing and artwork. Through Airbrush Junkies, Stefan transformed T-shirts, clothing, signs, walls, and countless other surfaces into works of art. His creativity reached concerts, parties, cultural events, celebrations, and major projects throughout The Bahamas, including live painting, portraits, celebrity artwork, murals, and other creative projects. But Stefan’s greatest contribution was never simply the art he created. It was the people he touched.

A FATHER’S LOVE

Beyond the artist, entrepreneur, and Legend, there was simply Dad. Stefan was the loving father of Teja and Tristan, and his children held a special place in his

He also loved travelling with his children and creating memories as a family. And wherever they went, a Starbucks stop was never far behind—another one of Dad’s favorite things. He took pride in his children – sharing his artistic abilities and love for fashion with Tristan and being Teja’s cheerleader as she achieved her academic and career goals abroad. Nothing compared to his love for his children. In later years, Stefan experienced the joy of becoming a grandfather. He treasured the time he spent in Florida and Nassau with his grandchildren, creating special memories and enjoying the precious moments of being Grampy. These simple moments—KFC runs, Starbucks stops, school pickups, and family travels—are now treasured memories. They will forever remind Teja and Tristan of the humor, warmth, and love their father brought into their lives.

A JOURNEY OF FAITH

In his later years, faith became an increasingly meaningful part of Stefan’s life. He attended church every Sunday with his fiancée, Wendy, making worship and spiritual reflection an important part of their lives together.

This quieter, more spiritual chapter revealed another side of Stefan—one that was reflective, grounded, and seeking a deeper connection with God while creating the hashtag #MakeJESUSFamous. Just as he had devoted himself to developing his artistic craft, Stefan continued to grow in his faith, leaving those closest to him with the memory of a man whose journey extended beyond his art and accomplishments.

A LEGACY OF CREATIVITY AND LOVE

Those who knew Stefan remember a man who was always willing to help, encourage, teach, collaborate, and show up for others. His influence reached across generations, especially among young artists whom he encouraged to develop their gifts and pursue their dreams. His connection to Junkanoo was equally deep. Growing up around Taylor Street and the One Family Junkanoo community, Junkanoo became woven into the fabric of his life. Family, art, culture, music, color, and creativity were all part of who Stefan was. Artists, Junkanooers, entrepreneurs, friends, clients, young creatives, and members of the wider Bahamian community were touched by his talent and generosity. Stefan believed in perseverance, authenticity, humility, and sharing knowledge with those coming behind him. He took a childhood fascination and turned it into a lifelong calling. He took paint and transformed it into art, turned ideas into businesses, and used his talent to open doors for others. He became Stix. He became Stefanel. And eventually, he became Legend. But to Teja and Tristan, he was simply Dad. To his mother, he was her son. To his grandchildren, their Grampy. To his siblings, their brother. To Wendy, her beloved fiancé and companion. And

to so many others, he was a friend, mentor, artist, and inspiration. Stefan’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, but his absence will never erase his presence. He lives on through his art, the artists he encouraged, the children he loved, the Junkanoo and Carnival costumes, murals, clothing, portraits, and the countless memories he created with family, friends, and community. Stefan “Legend” Davis was more than an artist. He was a follower of Christ, teacher, dreamer, father, brother, son, fiancé, grampy, uncle and friend. His hands created art, but his life created a legacy. Though his physical journey has ended, his work will continue through the people he inspired and the love he gave. His colours will continue to speak. His art will continue to live. His legacy will continue to grow. And to those who loved him most, he will forever be more than the Legend the world knew. He will simply be Stef. Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever our Legend. Opening Prayer & Remarks The Committal by| Pastor Brooks Russell Closing Prayer & Remarks Closing Song | Glad Reunion Day

GLAD REUNION DAY There will be a happy meeting in heaven I know When we see the many loved ones we’ve known here below. Gather on the blessed hilltops with hearts all aglow. That will be a glad reunion day. (Chorus) Glad day, a wonderful day, Glad day, a glorious day; There with all the holy angels and loved ones to stay, That will be a glad reunion day.

There within the holy city we’ll sing and rejoice, Praising Christ the blessed Saviour with heart and with voice. Tell him how we came to love Him and make Him our choice. That will be a glad reunion day. When we live a million years in that wonderful place Basking in the love of Jesus, beholding His face. It will seem but just a moment of praising His grace. That will be glad reunion day.

TO MY DEAREST

Tribute

SON

Not a single day goes by without me hearing your voice in my heart or missing your warm hugs. I am so grateful for the honor and the joy of raising you and for every precious moment we shared. Your smile lit up my entire world, and your kindness left a lasting mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing you. You brought so much love, laughter, and light into my life, and I will forever cherish the memories we made together. The physical time we shared may be over, but my love for you will never end. You live on in my heart, in my memories, and in the love we shared, a love that death can never take away.

I will carry you with me every day, until the day we meet again. Until then, my precious son, rest peacefully and know that you were, and always will be, deeply loved. Forever your mother, Forever in my heart.

D

ad, You gave me more than memories—you gave me a love for art, creativity, and seeing beauty in the small things. Some of my happiest memories are the moments we shared creating, talking, traveling and simply being together. I wish with all my heart that we had more time. Seeing the love you had for Armani & Aria, and how much they loved their Grampy, meant more to me than I can put into words. I wish you could have had more time with them. There was still so much I wanted to share with you, so many things I wanted us to do together. Losing you has left a space that can never be filled. I’ll carry your love, your creativity, and your memory with me always. And I’ll make sure Armani and Aria know the man their Grampy was. I love you, Dad. I miss you more than words can say. Tristan

DEAR DADDY

I know that we don’t own anything in this life but somehow, I always felt like I was meant to be your daughter and you were meant to be my daddy. You were my best friend, safe space and quite literally, my twin. I will miss everything about our relationship especially being able to share “the cool dad” with my friends. Daddy, Miami will never feel the same without you. I would always look forward to picking you up from the airport and driving you wherever you’d want to go - which usually meant Crafty Crab, Walmart or Wynwood. I will continue to keep our memories close because I am confident that you loved me beyond this lifetime. Although I will miss you, I know that you are in a better place and that your heart is with the Lord. Your legacy will live on through my heart, smile, laugh & love. I love you daddy. Forever your baby girl. Forever your masterpiece.

TO THE LOVE OF MY LIFE AND MY BEST FRIEND

sus and that’s what I will do. I’m thankful for those quiet moments when we would simply stop everything and embrace each other. We did not always need words. Sometimes we would just hold each other for a while, and in those moments, everything felt right. I would give anything to feel one of those hugs again. I’m even thankful for the times you annoyed me. At the time, I may not have always appreciated it, but looking back now, I realize that so many of those little moments were simply another way you showed me love. Your playfulness, your attention, and even the little things you did to get on my nerves are memories I would give anything to experience again. I’m thankful for the laughter, the memories, the adventures, and even the ordinary days that I now realize were some of the most precious days of my life. Most of all, I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to love you and to be loved by you. You were more than my boyfriend. You were my best friend, my comfort, my safe place, my biggest supporter, my spiritual partner, and the person I looked forward to coming home to. You became such an important part of my life that imagining a future without you feels almost impossible. Although you are no longer physically here with me, the love you gave me will never leave. Neither will the things we began building together. I will continue to hold on to God, to the faith we were strengthening together, and to the lessons our journey taught me. I will carry your love with me for the rest of my life. I will carry the lessons you taught me, the memories we created, the faith we shared, and the person I became because I had the privilege of loving you. A part of my heart went with you, but a part of you will always remain with me. Until we meet again, my love, I will hold on to every beautiful memory we made. I will speak your name with love, remember you with gratitude, continue the spiritual journey we started together, and thank God that, even if only for a time, I was blessed enough to call you mine.

It never crossed my mind that a day like this would come. We had so many plans for our future, but God’s plans are always greater than our own. I thank God for allowing us the privilege of finding each other, loving each other, and sharing the time that we did. You showed me what real love is! Not only through the way you loved me, but through the way you treated everyone you came into contact with. Your love was so genuine and contagious. Even on my worst days, just knowing that I was coming home to you gave me something to smile about. The pain of you no longer being here with me is indescribable. Every day I wake up and you are not next to me, it feels like I am living in a nightmare that I desperately want to wake up from. There are moments when I still expect to hear your voice, feel your touch, or see your smile. But even through this pain, I choose to focus on the beautiful moments we shared. I choose to be grateful for every conversation, every laugh, every hug, every kiss, and every single second God allowed me to spend with you. One of the things I am most grateful for is the spiritual journey we began together last year. We made the decision that we wanted God to be at the center of our relationship and at the center of everything we did. We committed ourselves to going to church every week, doing our daily devotions, praying, learning, and growing together in our faith. That journey meant so much to me because it was not only about building our relationship with each other; we were also trying to build a stronger relationship with God. I will always be grateful that we were able to walk that path together. Those moments strengthened our love and gave our relationship a deeper meaning that I will carry with me forever. One of the memories I will hold closest to my heart is our final devotion together. We studied Colossians 3:2–4: “Set your mind on things above, not on earthy things.” I love you beyond words, beyond this life, You told me to keep my eyes on Je- and always. Wendy, Fiancée

TO MY BIG BROTHER Many people did not know that you had a sister. But those who knew you intimately knew that you had only one, and she was the one who would steal your Mecca jacket and Karl Kani sweater to wear to school during those cold winter months. No matter how many times you rowed her for moving your things, she was somehow a sucker for punishment & just had to wear your clothing. You were the one, along with Bappy, who helped get me ready for Centre for Early Education when mommy had to leave early for work. You were the one I could always ask, “Do you know somebody who...?” because, in my mind, you knew everybody. You were the one I could wake up, no matter what time you went to bed, and ask to take me to work, and without hesitation, you would do it. Well… most times. I just had to knock on your door a second, or maybe a third time because you had already fallen back to sleep. You were my bush mechanic, fixing or installing whatever odd thing my car needed. Somehow, you always figured it out.

You were the one who made me appreciate music and art. From your hundreds, if not a thousand, hip-hop magazines to your cassette tapes and, later on, your CDs, I would sneak to read and listen to while you were at work. Those little moments sparked something in me and made me appreciate music and art even more. You were the one that rushed into my room to comfort me after I found out that my dad had passed away. I never imagined that exactly one year later, I would be preparing to bury you. Life has a way of bringing us moments we never could have imagined. Several weeks ago, I heard a young lady share a scripture that resonated with me. John 12:24 - “Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” As I look back on your life, I find comfort in those words. Your life was not lived in vain. You planted seeds through your art, your kindness, your creativity, and the many lives you touched. What you poured into others will continue to grow long after you are gone. I’m going to miss just having you across from me. I’m going to miss seeing you, bucking in the hallway, and knowing that you were just there. Many people just saw you as an artist, someone who created these beautiful masterpieces. But to me, you were more than that, you were my big brother. Your little sister, Tenaj

TO MY BROTHER-IN-LAW

Stefan was a loving brother-in-law and a wonderful person to have in our family. His kindness, laughter, and genuine heart will always be remembered. We are grateful for the memories we shared and the love he brought into our lives. You will truly be missed. Sheniqua

TRIBUTE TO MY BROTHER By Crispin

I

t is still difficult to put into words what you meant to me because our relationship was something that grew naturally and became a beautiful part of my life. I often think back to the day we first met. We were around 19 and 20 years old when our elderly grand-aunt introduced us for the first time. She had no expectations other than wanting us to know that we were brothers, in the event that one day we might need to help each other if either of us were ever in trouble. At the time, neither of us could have known how much that introduction would change our lives. We knew we shared the same father and the same bloodline, but it was through the years that we truly became brothers. I will always remember

how our brotherly bond was sealed as we held hands while our grandaunt prayed for us. That prayermeant something special to me because it wasn’t just about being related—it was about asking God to bless the relationship we were beginning to build. God gave me a brother in you, and I will forever be grateful. Art was in you, Stefan. You didn’t have to tell anyone how passionate you were about it; you could see it in everything you did. You had a gift for bringing people’s faces and personalities to life on a canvas. But when I think about it now, I realize that you were the artwork, too. Your life was colourful. Your personality was bold. Your style was uniquely your own. You brought creativity into everything around you. Stefan, you had a light, and that light was something people felt. You were energetic, lighthearted, stylish, funny, and compassionate. You

knew how to make people laugh and how to make people feel comfortable. You could warm a person’s heart simply by being around. As our relationship grew, we did more than just call each other brothers. We lived life together. We shared our love for boating and partying. We travelled and took vacations to other countries for Carnival and various musical events. We experienced the excitement and culture of our very own Junkanoo. Those weren’t just things we did—they became memories that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Sometimes, it’s the little things that come back to me unexpectedly—the conversations, the laughter, the places we went, the way you carried yourself, your jokes, your style, and your passion for art. And those are the moments I want to hold onto. Because when I think of you, I don’t want the last chapter of your life to be the only thing I remember. I want to remember Stefan— The brother I found in that video store. The brother I prayed with. The brother I travelled with. The brother I shared adventures with. The brother I laughed with. The brother who loved art. The brother who loved life. The brother whose presence could light up a room. I wish I could have one more conversation with you. One more boat

ride. One more trip. One more laugh. One more moment where I could simply say, “I love you, and I appreciate you.” But I know that the love we built doesn’t disappear because you are no longer here physically. You are still my brother. You always will be. Your blood runs through our family, but your memory runs through my heart. Every time I see a beautiful piece of artwork, every time I think about promotion, boating, Carnival, Junkanoo, or one of the many adventures we shared, a part of me will think of you. You left your mark on people through your art, but you left your deepest mark on those of us who had the privilege of loving you. I was blessed to be your brother. So today, I don’t just say goodbye. I say thank you. Thank you for allowing me to know you. Thank you for accepting me as your brother. Thank you for the laughter. Thank you for the adventures. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for the love. And thank you for the light you brought into my life. Stefan, my brother, rest peacefully. Your journey here may have ended, but your story continues in the hearts of everyone who loved you. And as for me, I will carry you with me for the rest of my journey. A Brother’s Love Brothers by blood, brothers by choice, Forever I’ll remember your laughter and voice. Through oceans and journeys, through sunshine and rain, The memories we made will forever remain. Though I cannot see you or hold you today, The love of a brother will never fade away. Your light lives within me, wherever I roam— Because brothers may leave, but love follows home. Rest in peace, “Stefan Swagga Airbrush Junkies Legend Davis.” ** Love Crispin **

TO MY BROTHER

Losing my brother is a pain that words cannot fully express. Stefan was not only my brother, but also a friend, someone I could count on, and a person who held a special place in my life. We shared many memories, good times, laughter, and moments that I will treasure forever. Through the years, we experienced life together, and I will always be grateful that I had the privilege of calling you my brother. Your absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. I will miss your presence, your conversations, your laughter, and simply knowing that you were there. Although it is difficult to say goodbye, I find comfort in knowing that the memories we created will remain with me forever. Rest peacefully, my brother. Until we meet again, know that you are loved, remembered, and deeply missed. Bappy

TO OUR UNCLE

Uncle Stefan was more than an uncle to us, he was our mentor, our role model, and someone we looked up to. His guidance, encouragement, and love helped shape us in ways we will carry throughout our lives. We will always remember the lessons he taught us, the moments we shared, and the impact he had on us. We love you, Uncle Stefan, and we will miss you dearly. Your memory will live on through us. Teron “Jo” & Teran “Mindy”

Stefan it feels impossible to understand why your time here was cut so short. The quiet you left behind is deafening and the world feels a little dimmer without your smile. But the love we have for you doesn’t end, just because your journey here did. Fly high my sweet nephew, you are carried in our hearts, you are missed beyond measure and you will never be forgotten! Aunty Bernie

UNCLE STEF

Our Uncle Stef was an art legend. If you knew him, you wore his art. He airbrushed and Painted our clothes and bags for school, church, and every charitable event, making sure we always walked in with pride. To many he was the artist, to us he was so much more. He was advice, protection, and love. He looked out for us even when we didn’t know we needed it. He pulled us straight when we slipped and pushed us further when we tried. He didn’t just paint canvases, he painted lives. He painted our family together. The Bahamas lost a legend, we lost our anchor. While his hands may now be still, everything he touched remains colorful. We love you, Uncle Stef. Thank you for the art, the love, and for always looking out for us. Rest in Peace. With Love From your Nieces & Nephews Cristin, Aaron, Laila, Leslye, and Shiloh Cleare.

STEFAN LEGEND DAVIS

Stefan Legend Davis is dead. No! I say it ain’t so—that can’t be. He is too young. That is my son from another mother, my best friend Theresa Davis. These were just a few of the comments my wife, Theresa Simms, uttered as the news of Stefan’s tragic death spread through the airwaves and social media. Two weeks later, as we sit down to try and write this tribute, I still can’t make sense of it. A young man still in the prime of his life is gone as a result of someone’s senseless act. The glowing tributes, the tears, the joys, and the overwhelming support shown to Stefan’s family is a testament to how much he was loved. Stefan was a cultural icon; his works can be seen across the length and breadth of the Bahamas. As time goes by and we sit down to write the history of this nation, remember this, my friend: your son may not be listed in the main ledgers as a headline maker, but he will be remembered by the many souls he touched along the way. Today, I end by saying to you, Theresa—your son (our boy) will always be in the first book of record as we pick up the pieces and continue this journey. Stefan was truly the epitome of the soul of this nation. I offer condolences that words cannot fully express. Know this: Your grief is shared by thousands whose names you may never know. Today, the nation mourns with you. Theresa Simms and Husband Horatio Skeete, Glendale, Arizona

TRIBUTE TO OUR BIG COUSIN, STEFAN

Stefan, you were always more than just our big cousin. You were someone we looked up to, admired, and were proud to call family. There was something about you that made us want to watch, learn, and appreciate the person you were. Your talent as an airbrush and paint artist was truly a LEGEND and one of a kind. Watching you create was amazing because you could take something ordinary and turn it into something beautiful. That gift was uniquely yours. It hurts knowing that you’re no longer here, but we will always carry the memories, the laughter, and the admiration we had for you. Your artwork may have left its mark on the world, but you left an even bigger mark on us. Rest peacefully, Stefan. You will always be our big cousin, our artist, and someone we will forever be proud to have known. Tenair, Drissen, Summer, Winter, Shaquel, Shaquille & Lakeisha – Cousins

TO MY COUSIN

Days before your passing all I thought about was paying tribute to you & Bappy by painting a pants like the ones you did in the 80s, not knowing that you would not be here to see it. It was going to be done for my birthday… I decided I didn’t just want to celebrate myself, but to pay homage to our family’s legacy to the persons that have had the biggest influence over my life. Growing up alongside, you reminded me of a caterpillar, turning into a beautiful butterfly. I’ve watched you painted pants transform into airbrush art on t shirts, bags, shoes, canvas, and then into portraits, where every brush stroke was a reflection of your soul and passion. Stefan, I wish you could see how many people loved you. How the persons you called friends are right here. By your side, how losing you has affected and touched so many lives. I cannot imagine a world without you. And though I question your passing, I find peace knowing that you lived your dreams and that you fulfilled your purpose on this earth. Though you are no longer here to paint this new chapter with us your spirit lives on. It lives in every canvas you touched, every color you blended and every life you inspired. You may have stepped away from the easel, but the masterpiece of your life will stay with us forever. Rest in Peace Stefan Legend, Chudney (cousin)

He also loved life fully. Stef celebrated not just to party, but to make memories, honor milestones, and bring people together. Even on my last birthday, he reminded me to give God thanks, because not everyone is blessed to see another year. I will miss giving in tothe Soca music, living in the moment, and sharing that joy with my best friend.

TO MY BESTFRIEND

Since Stef’s passing, I have carried a sadness that is difficult to put into words. In trying to understand why this loss feels so deep, I keep returning to the person he was to me and to so many others: an everyday living legend, a man whose passion, love for life, and brotherly presence left a mark that time cannot erase. Stef’s art was more than work; it was his God-given gift and a reflection of how deeply he saw the world. From Airbrush Junkies to Tipsy Canvas and his portrait commissions, he poured his heart into everything he created. He had the courage to turn what he loved into his life’s work, and that example will remain with all who knew him.

Most of all, Stef was my big brother. From the first time we hung out with my cousin Obie, he became an important influence in my life. We were both Virgos, our birthdays only days apart, and in many ways we understood each other. We shared a love for bringing people together, but our bond was far deeper than parties or shared interests. Stef always had my back and my best interests at heart. He gave honest advice, lived with faith, and reminded me to see the good in each day. To say I am sad does not begin to describe this loss. I have lost a brother, a soul friend, a counsellor, and a confidant, and I will carry both the grief of losing him and the blessing of having known him for the rest of my life.

FROM THE HEART OF AUNTIE MARI

Stefan, I have known and loved you practically all your life, and being your Auntie was always special to me. I will forever cherish the memories of taking you and your brother to school and your visits with me in Atlanta. From a very young age, you loved music, dancing, and especially drawing. I remember you doing your homework with a piece of paper beside you, always drawing something. Even then, I knew you were going to be an artist. It was beautiful watching that little boy grow into the gifted and well-known Bahamian artist you became. Your legacy will live on through your art, the lives you touched, and the hearts of everyone who loved you. Rest peacefully, Stefan. Auntie loves you, and you will forever hold a special place in my heart. Love always, Auntie Annmarie (Mari)

Khari Albury.

TO STEFAN G. DAVIS

Words alone cannot convey the sorrow felt from hearing of the loss of a precious loved one known from a child the Lord had his hands on him anointing and blessing him with a talent others could only dream of. God allowed Stefan great accomplishments to be shared for all of the Bahamas and the world to see his work, his work demonstrate how his service and dedication was on display to be cherished by others here and those in the future to come he would be truly missed by his loving mother and Family Joe Swann, Family Friend

TRIBUTE TO MY GODSON STEFAN LEGEND DAVIS

Friends, family, and loved ones, this is incredibly difficult. Today, I find myself writing words I never imagined I would need to for Stefan. Over the past three weeks, I’ve wrestled with feeling like I didn’t do enough for Theresa, my dear cousin. But I’ve come to understand that we will never fully know how to say goodbye, or what to say to a family grieving the loss of a beloved son. If you’re struggling for words, please know it’s okay. “Theresa, I love you” is enough. I’ve stopped searching for the perfect words because I know the pain is real. Stefan is gone, and nothing I say can truly lessen this hurt—for Theresa, his siblings, children, friends, or for myself. All we have are memories of how he touched our lives. Hold onto those memories—they will be a source of comfort and healing. Theresa, my dear friend, nothing could have prepared us for this heartbreak. You lost a son; I lost a godson; and the world lost Stefan, “The Legend.” The feelings of isolation, anxiety, and uncertainty may linger, but our faith in God will carry us through. Our solace is in knowing Stefan is now one of our guardian angels. The world feels a little darker without his bright smile and unwavering confidence, shining brightly at every gathering. I believe Stefan wants us to hold onto his joy and not drown in today’s sadness. So today, I urge us all to find comfort in remembering his happiness and to honor his memory by living with love. Rest peacefully, my dear godson. Marcia North Bain, Godmother

TO THE FAMILY OF STEFAN “LEGEND” DAVIS,

I extend my deepest condolences to you on the passing of Stefan. I had the privilege of purchasing a painting by Stefan at the Parkinson’s Ball earlier this year. At the time, it was simply a beautiful piece of art created by a talented Bahamian artist in support of a worthy cause. I could never have imagined that the evening would become Stefan’s final charitable event at which he painted, or that the piece I purchased would hold such profound significance so soon afterward. Knowing this now makes the painting extraordinarily special to me. Art has a remarkable way of allowing a person to leave something of themselves behind. Stefan’s creativity, his talent and, importantly, his willingness to use that talent in service to others will live beyond him. The fact that one of his final artistic contributions was made in support of charity says something meaningful about the legacy he leaves. I feel both humbled and honoured to be the custodian of this particular piece of Stefan’s work. It will always be displayed and cared for with an appreciation that extends far beyond its artistic or monetary value. For me, it now represents a moment in his life, his generosity to the community, and a small part of his legacy. May his extended family and friends find comfort in knowing that through his art, Stefan has left pieces of himself in homes and hearts throughout The Bahamas and beyond. With heartfelt sympathy, Tangela Albury, Senior Vice President & CFO Commonwealth Bank
