SIBFORD BOARDING The Newsletter from the Boarding Community May 4th 2020
A ROOM WITH A VIEW: This is the view from one of the bedroom windows in Margaret Fell, showing the open and spacious trip to school in the morning!
A THRIVING VIRTUAL COMMUNITY News as boarding goes temporarily online One of the highlights of our second week of term was the widespread success of our Virtual Boarding events. With every house taking part for the first time, we had an excellent turnout across the whole community - with over 35 people attending our voluntary get-togethers from all over the world. It was great fun seeing each other and catching up with how everyone is getting on. With people attending from China, Japan, Spain, Germany, Scotland and all over England, these were truly international events and a real treat to see everyone supporting each other from afar. We shared stories, tips, jokes, encouragement and even sang a song. These are weekly events and are proving to be amongst our highlights of the week. SPRING ON CAMPUS We are very lucky, here on campus, to have so much open space available to us at this time. In terms of being able to take daily exercise, this is invaluable - but it has also been a chance to relax amongst the best of nature. Lots of birdsong, blossom and fine sunlight have offered a peaceful place for reflection. We cannot wait to be able to share it with our boarding family again.
