JUNIORÂ SCHOOL

NEWSLETTER Friday 16th November 2018 Dear Reform Club, The journey from Suez has been rather too leisurely for my liking. Eventually, having made only steady progress across the Indian Ocean, we landed in Bombay, where I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were two days ahead of schedule. The journey via the Red Sea has taken 13 days and added to the seven taken to get to Suez, Passepartout and I now find ourselves a quarter of the way through our challenge. We will shortly board a train to travel across India to Calcutta, however I have just been given the unexpected news that the train line is not yet complete: there is a 50 mile break in the railroad between Kholby and Allahabad. Never fear though, an Englishman must expect to be able to cope when faced with such trials. I am sure we will find a way, although we have also been warned that this leg of the journey is a perilous one. Passepartout remains enchanted by the many sights upon our route, marvelling at the incredible temples, sampling local cuisine and exploring this new country. For my part, keeping to our schedule is key. I look forward to writing to you during the next leg of our journey. Yours sincerely, Phileas Fogg
