Originally established as Wrockwardine Wood Ladies, the team transitioned to become Shifnal Town Ladies in 2017 under the leadership of manager Mark Corbett, who played a pivotal role in setting up the new chapter for the club. Since then, the team has experienced its share of ups and downs, growing stronger each season. One of the proudest moments in the club’s history was winning the BT Pub Cup, which earned the team the unforgettable opportunity to play at Wembley Stadium – a true highlight and milestone for everyone involved. However, the journey has also included deeply emotional moments. The team’s greatest loss was that of the inspirational Danielle Jones – forever our number 3, who remains at the heart of everything we do. Danielle’s memory continues to guide and unite us; she is missed every single day. There is a strong emotional connection between the team and the Tom Farmer County Cup. It was during this tournament that Danielle played her final match – a hard-fought final against Shrewsbury Town that ended in a 2-1 defeat As the cup returns this year, the team is more motivated than ever to win it in her honour. Currently, Shifnal Town Ladies compete in the West Midlands Premier Division (Tier 5). After a fantastic season of commitment and determination, the team proudly sits in 3rd place, showcasing the strength and resilience that define them.

AFC Telford United are currently competing in the Women's Regional league.
Telford Womem were formed in 2018, double promotion from the Birmingham county league division 1 to the league they are in now. 24/25 season has been a successful one for Telford which an excellent FA cup run winning three matches to reach the first round proper of the cup. It looks like another runners up finish in the league, making it their third consecutive season finishing in the second place. Reaching the county cup final on the second season in a row is another great achievement for the club.
Telford have kept the majority of their squad from last season, keeping experience in the likes of Holly Nicholson who continues to captain the side as well as introducing youth into the senior set up. Senior call ups for Hattie Beadle, Lessong Janneh, Hope Dunn and Olivia Green has shown the pathway from youth football into the first team. Telford have had a set back with their prolific striker, Charlotte Budd who sadly ruptured her ACL in February and is currently receiving treatment for this injury. Players to watch out for, Number 2 Abbie Baldwin will be up and down the pitch on the right hand side with her speed and energy which has caused teams problems throughout the season. Number 11 Sasha Woodhouse will also cause problems with her speed and ability to create opportunities for herself to score or for others.
Alex Owens stepped up into the role of Head Coach for the 2024/25 campaign Alex is no stranger to AFC Telford having joined the club as assistant to Darel Tidman- Poole in 2020 and has been ever present since. Alex has previous experience with Wolves, Shrewsbury Town and Aston Villa.
