Morda UNITED
Formed many years ago Morda United Under 18s has now completed their third season under the management of Steve McGowan. Over the years, we've been proud to welcome a wealth of young local talent, helping shape the club into what it is today. After being founded and initially managed by Matt Barber, the team transitioned into the capable hands of current Manager Steve McGowan.
This season, the young squad has truly excelled. Each player has shown outstanding commitment, growing not just in skill but also in confidence and identity on the pitch It’s been a rewarding journey for both the players and the coaching staff.
In the 2022–2023 season, Steve McGowan was joined by Assistant Manager Huw Jones, both of whom took over after Matt Barber’s successful establishment of the team during his many years with the club. Steve initially joined as Matt’s assistant in that inaugural season and later opened summer trials in 2022 to build the strongest possible squad. The turnout of passionate, talented young footballers made it clear that the team had a bright future.
