SOPHIE HENNESS, our captain, leader and all round superstar is an absolute gem. Sophie Throws her body on the line week in week out incredibly in our goal, pulling off “worldie” saves, she very often gets the full recognition of opposition teams and spectators Pure talent Unfortunately, has picked up and injury so will miss the final, not what Sophie deserves after a huge season, but she will be here to support!
TAYLOR DURY, this quick, skilful player has the ability to be the game changer and cause any defence issues, can score every type of goal and puts in a shift for her team and wreak havoc with her pace. MILLIE CHANDLER, grafter. Do not be fooled by this girls slight physique. Millie will run through a brick wall and still come out the other side with the ball stuck to her foot and score a goal, just pure determination to help her team.
LOLA MCHARRIE, our Roy Keane, the absolute engine in the centre midfield that does not stop and makes everything tick. Strong in the challenge and hard work mentality, always supporting and offering cover to her teammates, loves a slide tackle and there always timed to perfection.

A huge thank you from all at Wrekin Juniors for all your support throughout the season and for coming to cheer this team of incredible young ladies this evening. This has been a very difficult season for all associated with us for many reasons. We had devastating news that shocked not just this team but the whole football community. We got the news that ELLIE THOMAS had gained her wings and been taken from us all far to early. Ellie was an integral part of our team, week in week out she was lined up in the heart of our defence and team, a young lady that had an incredible personality that flipped into game mode come kick off and was an absolute rock for her team from the very beginning. Ellie gives us the advantage of been with us all tonight, sitting on the shoulders of our girls out there to help them get through the tough moments and to be part of the Highs and join in the celebrations, regardless of the scoreline!
