JOIN OUR LEAGUE COMMITTEE Help shape the future of grassroots football in Shropshire Shropshire Football Association is looking to recruit enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join the committees supporting our County League competitions. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who would like to support one of the following leagues: •
TJ Vickers Shropshire County League
•
Shropshire Girls League
•
Shropshire Women’s County League
Our League Committees play an important role in supporting the successful operation and continued development of grassroots football across Shropshire.
About the role As a League Committee Member, you will work alongside fellow volunteers and Shropshire FA staff to help ensure the league provides a positive, well-organised and enjoyable football experience for its clubs, teams, players, coaches and officials. Committee members will help contribute to discussions and decisions around areas such as: •
The development and future direction of the league
•
Fixtures, competitions and league operations
•
Communication and engagement with member clubs
•
Supporting league events and cup competitions
•
Promoting good standards of behaviour and sportsmanship
•
Identifying opportunities to grow and improve the league
•
Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion across the competition
•
Representing the views and experiences of clubs and participants
•
Helping ensure the league remains relevant to the needs of grassroots football
Who are we looking for? You do not need to have previous committee experience. We are looking for people who are passionate about grassroots football and who can bring enthusiasm, ideas and different perspectives to our leagues. You may currently be involved in football as a: •
Club official or volunteer
•
Coach or manager
•
Player or former player
•
Match official
•
Parent or supporter
