(I)WHEN A MATCH HAS RESULTED IN A DRAW AFTER THE PLAYING OF 90 MINUTES, THE WINNER SHALL BE DECIDED BY THE TAKING OF PENALTY KICKS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROCEDURE ADOPTED BY THE INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION BOARD (IFAB)
The club formed in 1975 was originally set up to provide children in the Wellington area of Telford with the opportunity to play football at the minimal possible cost. This remains the key aspect of the club today. Today the club provides this but for a larger area of Telford taking players from all over the town With this in mind the club has also seen teams win many trophies, double and trebles over the years However the main aim remains and in junior football winning is not everything. Within a few years of the club starting the 5-a-side tournament was set up to run every summer This started by becoming a competition for local teams but has developed into a regional tournament attracting teams from as far as Stoke, Birmingham, Wolverhapmton even Wales as well as girls' academies. This tournament has grown into the largest in the area With the clubs links they were able to obtain excellent facilities for the events which has always provided positive feedback. Now-a-days the club is run with pride and passion as it once was. The commitee has some experienced members who have been involved with junior football for over 10 years as well as some young coaches and managers wanting what is best for the players. The club has been Charter Standard for some time now. This was a massive boost to the club and it has been shown in the progress of all managers obtaining their FA Level 1 Coaching badges Every manager is up-to-date with guidelines and rules set both by the F A and the committee providing excellent service and coaching in football.
Within the past 7 years the club has seen the introduction of its first creche. This provides football for children between 5 and 7 the chance to learn basic skills. This is a growing part of the club and has over 25 children each year This has provided the basis for the mini soccer teams over the past few years and it has shown on the pitch with results on the pitch and off the pitch in friendships. This development sector within the club has seen many players go onto play for the Shropshire County team and even Academies such as, Wolves, Stoke, Birmingham and Aston Villa amongst others Alas the club entered its first under 17s team into the mjpl and Shropshire Minor League. This was a re-occuring feature in the clubs structure over the past three years giving players the chance to play for the club until they are 18
Currently the club continues to grow on and off the field with the current 2022/23season seeing 30 Adults boys and girls teams playing under the clubs' banner; the most in recent times. The club continues to be one of the biggest clubs in the area and one of the most notable in terms of success
