History of the Club:

Although Shifnal Girls FC officially became its own entity in 2022, our journey began back in 2018 with just a single team under the name Shifnal Europeans As we grew, we transitioned to Shifnal Town, where we continued to develop and expand. However, our ambition was always to create something unique a club dedicated entirely to girls' football. In 2022, we made that vision a reality by establishing Shifnal Girls FC, the first and largest girls-only football club in the county.

Today, we are incredibly proud to have 17 teams ranging from Under-7s to Under-18s, alongside a thriving Wildcats programme that provides a welcoming introduction to football for young girls. Our rapid growth has been remarkable what started with just one team and ten players has now flourished into a club of over 205 players, with an additional 40 girls engaged through our Wildcats sessions.

Over the years, we have built a rich history, filled with unforgettable moments and incredible opportunities. We've proudly represented Shifnal in Welsh tournaments, been invited by the FA to take part in squad photography and training footage, and played a role in the development of new football initiatives set to launch in the coming seasons.

Our journey mirrors the rise of women's football in England, growing alongside the success of the Lionesses and inspiring more girls to get involved in the game. What started as a small, passionate group has evolved into a powerhouse for girls' football, creating a legacy that we hope will continue for generations to come.

Shifnal Girls FC is more than just a football club it's a community, a family, and a movement, proving that girls' football belongs at the heart of the game.
