Currently we have 35 teams playing development, competitive and adult football in the town with over 600 registered players.

Proud to have recently been awarded Shropshire Club Of The Year and to be actively involved with supporting Shrewsbury Town In The Community and Shrewsbury Food Bank.

We do have a link to a current professional footballer who once played for SAHA & Shrewsbury Town and is still a firm favourite amongst the fans - Joe Hart.

SAHA FC are a local grassroots football club based in Shrewsbury, established for over 30 years.

A frequently asked question is what does SAHA stand for - Shropshire Area Health Authority.

Everyone involved in the club is voluntary and works hard to provide a positive, safe and welcoming environment for both girls and boys to begin their grassroots football journey, starting from school reception year.

“The Shropshire Football Association Board are set to announce exciting future plans which will take the company forward.

A new purpose built HQ with 2 x 3G pitches and a step 5 stadia compliant Grass pitch with associated facilities are at an advanced stage within the Telford and Wrekin borough. To this end, we will be relocating away from Shrewsbury Town Football Club and have found a new temporary home at AFC Telford United FC. The move away from Shrewsbury Town FC marks a watershed for the local game as the Shropshire FA . attempt to move into a new era after recently gaining Charitable Status.

The Shropshire FA board would like to put on record a notice of thanks to Shrewsbury Town FC for hosting the association over the past 23 years.”
