TELFORDREFEREES'ASSOCIATION

The Telford Referees Association was formed in February 2020, following an initial meeting at The Queens at Horton. Since then, the organisation has grown to become one of the most respected and well-regarded group of referees within the region.

With a commitment to ongoing training and development, the Telford Referees Association has helped to develop hundreds of referees since our formation, ensuring that as Match officals the game is played fairly in the safest manner.

The Telford Referees Association has developed a strong and trusting partnership with the Telford Junior League, offering support and guidance to young referees as they develop and broaden their skills.

We are widely represented across all leagues within the county, invited to officiate at Shrewsbury School and have been rewarded with invitations to officiate at national finals, that is a testament to the dedication and skill that our members continue to display. Whilst our work is not solely on the field of play, the Telford Referees Association are also committed to making a positive impact in the community, offering charitable donations over the years, by supporting a range of causes and organisations across the region. The association is also a keen advocate of the impacts of mental health, as Chairperson Mark Reilly leads the way on this prominent topic in life.

With a focus on fairness, integrity, and community, the Telford Referees Association are a shining example of what can be achieved when people come together to make a difference.

This accolade is awarded to the individual who has been identified by their colleagues and by popularity amongst the committee as the match official who goes above and beyond in their efforts for Telford Referees’ Association. This award credits the individual whose efforts and contribution is recognised and has significantly aided the associations success.

UNSUNGHERO

This accolade is awarded to the individual who has been identified solely by the Association committee as the unsung hero. This award credits the individual whose efforts may not be publicly recognised, often going unnoticed, but without their efforts our association would not be reaping the success it has.
