Mr. Mudit Residence 01

Site Location: Aligarh , U.P

Site Area :5,640 Sq.Ft.

The Goyal residence is a multi-generational Indian home designed to strengthen familial bonds across three generations—grandparents, parents, and two sons. Rooted in tradition yet attuned to modern living, the home centers around a triple-height atrium that brings in natural light and a sense of openness. At its heart lies a mandir—a sacred focal point that connects all levels of the house, both visually and spiritually. Surrounding this core, the living and dining areas flow seamlessly, offering shared spaces for daily rituals, gatherings, and celebrations, fostering a warm and connected family life.

Development of Elevation

The initial massing diagrams show volumetric breakdowns of the built form.

Planters are consistently integrated on balconies and along parapets, creating green continuity.

•Balanced Composition: Careful juxtaposition of solid and void, greenery and concrete, transparency

•Screens and textural materials (like patterned blocks) are used to contrast with smooth surfaces.

The massing is carefully balanced with shifts and recesses to avoid monotony, preparing the groundwork for elevation articulation.

Conceiling sunken balcony slabs and HVAC, plumbing pipes

•The interplay of open and solid elements ensures privacy, ventilation, and a lively visual experience..

The design avoids monolithic appearance by introducing breaks, projections, and changes in texture.

Vasant Kunj Farmhouse 03

This luxury farmhouse is envisioned as a contemporary retreat for a multi-generational family, where architecture facilitates both privacy and cohesion. The entire plan is centered around a swimming pool, which forms the heart of the home—visually, spatially, and experientially. The layout is composed of a series of interconnected volumes that wrap around the pool, creating a courtyard-like configuration. Each block—housing functions such as private bedrooms, common living spaces, and service areas—is oriented to engage with the pool, ensuring continuous visual connection and cross-ventilation. ,

Sultangarhi artists village

Vasant Kunj, Delhi

Thesis Project

The Sultangarhi Artist village seeks to establish a vibrant artist village adjacent to the historic Sultangarhi Garhi Tomb. This unique amalgamation of culture, history, and creativity aims to provide a sanctuary for artists, foster artistic practices, and enrich the cultural landscape of the region. The project is designed to seamlessly integrate the existing historical context with modern artistic pursuits, creating a harmonious blend of the past and the present.

Site area = 46,050 sqm

As one enters the site, a public street connecting activities such as museums, exhibitions, workshops, cafes, etc. takes them to the Sultangarhi Tomb. This is the space that typically forms the boundary between public and private spaces, used by people that are entering or exiting buildings.

The setting and positioning of urban furniture are critical when it comes to comfort and well-bing in urban spaces.

The variation presented by building facades, multiple entrances and storefrontwindows make walking more enjoyable.

The vegetation and type of paving in seating areas, help turn sidewalks into spaces for social interaction, adding more life.

The walkable landscape design enhance the vitality at street scale. In the urban landscape design projects specific, the role of walkable environment is significant in enhancing social interaction, strengthening social coherence.

The studios, workshops and artists residences are have their own green spaces away from the public street as they need more privacy and silence.

Frontage zones between buildings and the street are spaces with potential to host myriad activities that link indoor functions with life out in the street.

The steet opens to a large landscaped garden and thus providing an expansive view of the green landscaped and the tomb.

The existing remains at Sultän Ghäri belong to three phases: (I) *Turkish’ (1191-1290), (2) Tughlaq (1320-1414), and (3) late Moghul (late seventeenth and eighteenth centuries).

The materials are marble, Red sandstone and well burnt bricks. Lime-mortar has been generally used, but mud-mortar is employed in some of the houses. The walls were rendered with plaster, patches of which still adhere.to the walls here and there.
